That full moon thing is a total myth.

Who needs an excuse to be a cunt? This cunt in the news happened to be spawned by icky things. You chose to work in finance (or summat like that). I chose to take drugs and mostly fail at everything else. GoS failed to notice the "bi" option. We iz all cuntz. No excuses needed.

i used to

its proven that gravity from the moon affects tides and gets women cranky hence " they are on the moon"

in ayurveda they dont practice yoga on full moons, someone told me its cos it gives women a chance to " calm down" ( dunno if its true)

for better or worse i think people do go crazier on full moons shambles

If you believe the myth, it's actually mental people and men it affects most.

It's a myth though.
 
not really, its been written about in many shastra's and ayurvedic texts that are thousands of years old as well as in the hatha yoga pradipika
 
Both full and new moon days are observed as yoga holidays in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition. What is the reasoning behind this?

Like all things of a watery nature (human beings are about 70% water), we are affected by the phases of the moon. The phases of the moon are determined by the moon’s relative position to the sun. Full moons occur when they are in opposition and new moons when they are in conjunction. Both sun and moon exert a gravitational pull on the earth. Their relative positions create different energetic experiences that can be compared to the breath cycle. The full moon energy corresponds to the end of inhalation when the force of prana is greatest. This is an expansive, upward moving force that makes us feel energetic and emotional, but not well grounded. The Upanishads state that the main prana lives in the head. During the full moon we tend to be more headstrong.

The new moon energy corresponds to the end of exhalation when the force of apana is greatest. Apana is a contracting, downward moving force that makes us feel calm and grounded, but dense and disinclined towards physical exertion.

The Farmers Almanac recommends planting seeds at the new moon when the rooting force is strongest and transplanting at the full moon when the flowering force is strongest.

It's not just me that thinks so, is all empirical evidence. Statistically there is no difference between anything on a full moon night as opposed to any other night. You'd think it would've shown up by now if there was. Full moons are purdy though <3

The moon does affect the tide, yes. The Earth also causes tidal bulges on the moon which is somewhat kewler as moon is made of rock. Actually, moon does cause minor tidal bulge in land masses here too. Just not as noticeable as with oceans. It also affects wimminz and their cycles, yes. Although the mechanism for this is less obvious afaik. It doesn't affect liquids within bodies cos we haz blood pressure and shit which prevents that being possible. Anecdotally full moons affect behaviour, nobody has ever documented it though so is bullshit till proven otherwise.
 
I'm gonna blame the fact that it's hotter than I would like it to be in this fucking room. Still waiting for my thunder storm :(
