Is it totally anonymous for everyone in all places in the world? My mate who used it said he had to 1) go into a bank in person and hand over cash and some other details (obviously then being on the banks cctv) and 2) email the bitcoin place a pic of his receipt from the bank (obviously an ip issue there), I think thats what he said anyway.

I'm no expert, but I don't think that Bitcoin itself is anonymous by design, the fact that you can send it to "anonymous" wallets without going through banks and such is what makes it kinda anonymous I suppose. But there is always the question of either depositing of withdrawing Bitcoins which usually leaves a money trail. Especially if you're thinking of large amounts, such as $50k. I'd like to see someone go into anywhere with that much cash, deposit it into a Virtual Currency and see just how "anonymous" you stay. LOL

I have used bit coins for gambling in the past and I have never had to show any forms of ID to deposit. You just put some bank details on a deposit slip to where your putting the money and the bit coin company puts it into the wallet you supplied. Seems pretty anonymous to me aside from being on a banks CCTV but you don't need to give your name or identification for a deposit just a signature that the teller doesn't check against anything.
The email address you have to supply to the bit coin supplier doesn't even have to be real you just need to supply one so the can send a receipt. Usually the receipt is displayed on the screen.

There is a paper-trail, but because of the way it is set up, it can't be linked to anyone until money is withdrawn. If you continually use your profits to buy more product it can never be linked to you (unless you're physically caught product-in-hand.
I think that's what I said in my first post, but yeah again, I'm no expert and could be wrong. I just don't like the fact that people may be confusing an anonymous platform, such as TOR, with a virtual currency, such as Bitcoin. They are not the same thing.

Havent had meth for 2 months, but saying that ill probably grab some this weekend, SURE btc are totally anonymous, you dont have to upload i.d. and you dont have to go to a bank to transfer cash or wire transfer do you? then how the hell do you get it? I mean if I was a vendor id probably get someone else that I trust to do the transactions for me, have you noticed how some of the btc sites now require i.d? some safety features, use online sites to store btc but never a wallet installed on P.C. As for conspiracy theories, seems like your in the square that you live in, whereas im on the outside and prefer it that way. What do I know? enough to have excellent stats!

*Forgot to add that I have a mate that has his own site that resells BTC here, so seems to be the safest option atm. The best advice would be to go to that other site online and try find someone that is local to where you live and do it that way face to face transaction.
I just spoke to him now and he was stating BTC could be soon tax compliant!? (in NZ that is though not sure about Australia) Another option is to go to post office OR get a friend to do it and buy a temp 'pressie card' aka one-off visa/debit card...

as harmless as he obviously is, the fact of the matter is - including what he has said to the D's - he has ratted out on his supplier purely for his own finiacial gain (though T/T) and to cop a severally lesser sentence from the prosecuters/judge.. which if no one has realized, is straight out SNITCHING.. the number one rule in his line of 'work' NO-ONE should ever brake
and because of that fuckin interview he did, nearly EVERYONE I know that uses, including most my mates now know about it and are starting to use it and this can only mean the AFP are gonna be doin a serious crack down very soon... I have never ordered anything off the site, nor do I have any intentions to but it seems he has pretty much fucked it for everyone that does.. in laments terms, he's caused more problems for the previous (and future) users of the site, and probably some SR vendors/bitcoin suppliers than he's realized

wasnt even that many drugs? he was turning over something like 20K +? I got mates that have had small jail terms for turning over less than half of that with NO importation charge.. you have got to be kidding me if you think that is a standard charge.. it seems you literally know nothing mate and should be the one to stop talking...
