why do people call oxy hillbilly heroin anyway? oxy costs more than heroin ffs. It's more like rich people heroin. kind of like coke compared to crack. Unless i'm ill informed and most hillbillies are actually quite wealthy. Thought methamphetamine was more their thing anyway.

Not necessarily 'subpar', more 'what those whacky hillbillies get up to for kicks'...like homebake heroin in NZ.
Opiates and amphetamines are fine, if you're into that thing. A few of my friends are real into methamp and methadone...whatever gets yer rocks off. I suppose one of the above posters is right about it having to be IV as the rush is the whole point, but speedball is just such a nice term for any upper/downer combo. Ritalin mixes far better with opiates than dexamp does, but I have tried the combo in question. the way I used it was with both the amp and the oxy being untouched in extended release form, which, as was pointed out, far from the point of a speedball. great choice if you work at the worlds most popular shopping center and need to start a 12 hour shift at 5am on black Friday. there really is a LOT of stimulation, oxy being the most stimulating opiate (bar tramadol if you're someone who counts it) I can think of. lot's of chatty goodness.
on the topic of stimulant/sedative combos, boy do I wish I was alive back in the black beauty days, IIRC they were methaqualone and amphetamines, sounds killer.

it's called Hillbilly Heroin because, as limonov alluded to, the worst places hit by Oxy abuse originally were rural areas. It spread so fast the name is kind of a misnomer now but it stuck for whatever reason
I highly doubt it had anything to do with the drug itself, a lot of people prefer oxycodone over heroin, although that brings up the heroin purity question.

Gotta admit, smoking oxy is pretty dumb. Definitely worse than shooting. If you use a micron filter and proper injection technique/precautions then it really isnt so bad. At least you know whats in it unlike street dope. Still, when I used it was always heroin, very rarely oxy, so maybe someone else knows better.

Very interesting. I have not done an old fashioned "speedball" but have done this so called "pharmball". I have mixed adderall with a number of opiates, as well as coke with opiates. With my limited, (yet somehow substantial) experience, I can say that the two experiences one would get from these two combinations would differ greatly. The "sb" would hit harder, and drop off faster than the "pb". If I was trying to enjoy an entire evening, I would prefer the longer acting amps and oxy mix, but if I just wanted to get completely wasted, the speedball. Now a number of combinations of these stimulant/opiate mixes could be interchangeable. Let's say meth and oxy, or coke and oxymorphone. Each different chemical reacts in the body in slightly different ways, and with eachother. My first experience with an upper and an opiate was when I was a wee early teen, though certainly not iv, but the most unlikely of candidates got me completely faded, yet tweaked at the same time. It was insufflated adderall, and oral darvocet(propoxyphine) mind you I had no tolerance to any opiates whatsoever, so don't laugh. I don't remember the doses, but I was probably drinking as well, on down the road I had read in a PDR that this certain combination actually potentiated each other, that it was very dangerous. So I would say, the proof is in the pudding, but be safe like k'd out said. Find that sweet spot with all the different chems, and then blast off!! I certainly don't think you will be able to do this in one night, it's like wine tasting, you have to clear the pallet before trying the next one.

oxy is a much speedier opiate based high then heroin, oxy and adderall work better as a team verse addys and heroin, due to the heavy heroin buzz...idk if this makes sense, i mixed oxy and addys and got a great combo high, i have mixed addys and dope, and the dope just killed the addy high to the extent where i just calmly felt alert with no positive stimulant effects to go witht he dope feeling, excuse my poor example, i can only explain better if i was on adderall myself now lol
