Ah, then maybe something like "I have injected" would be a more clear way of stating it. I just didn't feel right selecting yes or no considering I haven't IV'd anything in a long time but used to do it all day every day for years.

It would have been interesting for a 3rd option to be there, I have honestly wondered how many IV drug users managed to quit.

That makes no sense, if someone asks a person who hasn't smoked in 4 years "do you smoke?" they are going to say no. If they elaborated they would say they are a former or ex- smoker.

Thanks! :) I think it would be interesting to know how many people stopped injecting, and also whether or not they still use their DOC. For me I stopped heroin and injecting at the same time. I had no desire to stop injecting before I stopped heroin, I was addicted to injecting too. But at the time I didn't really know there were other ways with someone of my huge tolerance to use heroin. I started with the needle and ended with the needle, and the only other ROA I ever tried was smoking which seemed to do very little (powder dope).
 
Not only do needles scare me, but the idea of being hooked on a brief rush frightens me. I like waiting for the stuff to kick in after I snort it. The anticipation is like a drug in itself. :)
 
im new to it, just ate, snorted and plugged in past, but due to tolerance to pills i recently switched to h, so necessity caused me to learn... its not as bad as ive always thought it to be, not that im trying to play advocate either *evil grin*, ive just always for some reason placed a negative connotation on the whole process in my mind (probably one of those "societal things" i learned as a kid and never questioned or realized)... but there is definitely a bit to learn before taking it up. The one thing ive learned about it is it isnt like snorting, one day you just decide to crush a pill and grab a straw! ;)
 
I think a lot of us got to the point where our tolerance was so bloody high, we just said, "oh fuck it!" At which point you discover how high a tolerance can really go, heh.
 
HOLY FUCK I FUCKING LOVE IV COCAINE!!! seriously there is no other way to do good coke.. like good coke, actual cocaine IV has been one the best experiences of my life....

and just needles in general. seeing the spurt of blood, hitting a veiin, pushing down. it is so addicting; so awesome but so devastating. like i have a compulsive need;e disorder like.

I WANT BLOOOD
 
I used to say I would never use needles but now that I've tried it, I find it's the only proper way to do it. I inject heroin and cocaine and the high is like no other. The rush is what gets you, it is so intense. I would never waste my time snorting again. Just be careful with shooting cocaine. If you don't hit the vein properly, you will get an abcess. I have had one in my hand, from when I missed the vein and had to have surgery on my hand to drain and heal it. I still have a surgical scar.

^ cocaine isn't a good drug to begin with; IV'd is very short lived. I wouldn't recommend this.
 
^^ive known quite a few people who threw their lives away thanks to IV coke. its a worse addiction than crack from what I've seen.
 
LaC you are going to fuck your life up in record time if you keep shooting coke, man. Once you get into that shit, it changes your addiction. It makes already seriously hardcore H addictions and turns them into a two headed monster of shit.

IV coke is by far the fastest way to fuck up your life.
 
I'm not sure how warranted some of these comments are; I understand that in one's experience and from one's observations, taking cocaine intravenously may appear to be worse than anything else, but even still, I think it's a relatively subjective thing.

But, at any rate, I've recently begun to take my heroin intravenously and it's pretty terrific. I'm not sure how much I regret doing it. I hadn't made the decision under some assumption that I'd somehow use less dope and then be able to save money or anything at all like that, so it's exactly what I thought it would be and exactly what I expected. It hasn't turned my addiction into anything more crazy, insane or less manageable than before. So, it's whatever... just sucks when ya can't hit a vein, finally register, and then slip out ... *cringe*

:\ I hope it works out for ya' man.. I really do. But the odds are against you. We don't just wake up after a couple days on the needle with our life in shambles and all strung out. It's a progression of sacrificing one rule, one moral, one decision, after another, that builds up after years before you realize how truly fucked you are.

But I don't wanna preach. You're an adult, do what you will. I really do pray for ya' though man.
