Anyway, I will admit I did make it sound like you made some massive horrible mistaken statement when in reality you just made a simple statement of preference and I thought 'lol she'll probably change her views on that in a few years'. I will admit again that I was mistaken to say what I did.

Well you are, since the reason I was saying all that was because I was trying to prove to rangrz that being a guitarist does not equate being an idiot. I said I do find a guy who plays guitar (read: plays guitar well) more attractive...not that I'm in awe of anyone who can smash out a few chords. Espeically since I can do considerably more than that myself. But anyway, doesn't matter. The way you phrased it just made me sound like a pre-teen at a Jonas Brothers concert :p

Yeah actually I think at the moment I post in the thick cockney accent I imagine BHM to have! It just depends on who's posting the most bullshit. I'm not flexible enough to do different voices for different people, I just get stuck in one shit mock accent :D

As for rape fantasies, they're pretty widely accepted as being very common in both men and - even more so - women. The vast majority of men who have such fantasies would never even consider acting out on 'em. Just as the vast majority of women who have such fantasies would not wish them to come true. People who can't separate fantasy from reality have mental health issues. The vast majority of people know fine well the difference.

Age of consent: definitely required. Teenagers (specifically below legal age teenagers) may not be children in the same sense that pre-pubescents are children but they are children all the same. Sexual maturity bears no relation to emotional maturity. Younger teens often struggle with dealing with emotional problems as it is without being headfukked by getting actually fukked by some creepy auld geezer. Obviously there is no hard and fast line where you wake up on your 16th birthday and are suddenly a mature adult so there's always gonna be specific situations where 16 (or whatever age is decided upon) is too young still and other situations where they've been happily banging away for years with no problem. It's hard to legislate for individual cases though so some kinda line needs to be set to protect the majority.

Is this in the same way page 3 is widely accepted? IE by a patriarchal society that has currency in the subjugation of women?

Don't buy it, never have. I've never come across (oo-er, go on) a partner that has admitted to any. And very few men.

This one has been debated to death.

Most 'rape fantasies' experienced by women involve somebody they'd like to have sex with in a consensual manner anyhow. So 'rape' isn't really the right word; 'coercion' is possibly a better fit. Most male 'rape' fantasies differ greatly from genuine rapes in that they stem from an expression of normal sexual arousal as opposed to an act of violence and domination (as in actual rape).

To what extent both phenomena (and human sexual behaviours in general) are rooted in a patriarchal society that subjugates women is a can of worms unto itself.

Accepted as existing and being rather common.

Personally, rape doesn't do it for me any more as fantasy than as reality but it's pretty clear that's not exactly universal. I tend to avoid erotica written by men cos it's usually shit, but was very fond of women's erotica in me teens (who wasn't :D) and it's full of rape fantasies. Albeit not the kinda rape that bears any relation to actual rape obviously.
 
Ya. I probably should've made that more clear originally. There's plenty very malecentric rape fantasy pr0n vids online which I find very distrubing cos they're so much closer to actual rape. Am not into censorship of any kind but I'm not sure that kinda stuff being made - and made so brutal and explicit - is so wise. The type of men who make/view such things are not the kinda men I'd want to know :|
