true that. dont start drugs, dont tell your mom how harmless it is, str8 edge parents dont wana hear it. if your gonna smoke visine my man. and if you get tested only real thing to do is drink a TON of water but that is dangerous cuz the ammount of water you need is borderline h20 poisoning
 
If you are greatly concerned about getting caught by parents, you can do what I did when I was an adolescent: Smoke a joint, that being disposable, and either use matches or hide your lighter. Run a load of laundry (horrors!) that includes the clothes you were just wearing, go take a shower, and take it easy. If your eyes are horribly red, either use eye drops for this or tell your mother that you are not feeling so well and need to take a nap to avoid the attention.

I'll never understand people who do this once they're grown adults though. Ducking parents when you're old enough to fight a war is bizarre. So three years hence, seek some independence!

First of all please pardon me for chopping around so much, it's only intended to render my quote very specific (about smoke vs safety): in all honesty i feel urged to comment that this sort of attempt would just fail with me - in a plain, flat and simple manner because i've been a smoker myself for too long and had to quit, eventually... In other words "Safe Smoking" doesn't exist for me and hence i wish i were there again so i could try a fresh start that suits me better, there's some nice spectrum of opportunities ahead for you so i'd strongly suggest trying to take proper advantage of it, depending on circumstances.

As is being old enough to fight a war but not quite old enough to enjoy a frothy beer just because. I know, I know....

No matter what I tell mother, her answer is always the same. As far a sneaking a hit and getting away with it, fathers are usually easier to fool. One time my mother was away and my dad came home a few minutes after I had just hit about half a gram with keif on top. I was sky-high and he didn't even notice; probably just thought I was in an unusually good mood that day!
There is only one cure for stubborn mothers....move out! The sooner I get to Washington, the sooner I can GROW BABY GROW!
 
you should wait until your 18 to smoke pot in my opinion. i started when i was 15 and my parents knew when i was 16 and it ruined our relationship. its not worth it.
 
I think you should wait until your grownup enough to have the power to make your own choices. Having to hide smoking pot can take the fun out of it, especially if its in your own house. My father couldnt smell the stuff cuz he smoked cigs for so long and my mom and I had come to an understanding. I had alot of undue stress in my life and she was ok with it, because it was making it easier for me to cope with my anxiety problems. Even later on when I was 17 my grandparents knew I smoked weed and they were ok with it. They never even mentioned it until much later and it was in a conversation in which my grandma was saying it should be legalized and than she said something like it always seemed to chill you out when you were a teenager. I should note I lived with my grandparents when I was 17. I had a rough patch with my father and he was quite abusive. My mother was ok with me smoking pot because of this. Anyways my mother and I lived with my grandparents and I was allowed to smoke pot outside.

This is honestly a terrible idea. Just take it easy, you have plenty of years to smoke and do as you please. If you were to smoke, do it sparingly and in a scenario where you do not have to worry about confronting your parents. There is no fun in constantly worrying if your parents know if your stoned

Jibult Im not mad. Im kinda of annoyed of these "Im scared my parents know I smoke weed". You cant change the way the think about it. Well I may have changed the way my Grandma saw marijuana. She knew I was smoking when I lived with her and I was doing quite well in school and in great physical shape. I was always respectful. I guess it made her realize that drug users were not criminals always. Ive never felt the need to prove anything to anyone since I was like 5. As for convincing your parents pot isnt that bad. The easiest way is to show them you are a responsible person. But all the same Id just do what I fancied. If smoking pot was that, I wouldnt let fuck all stop me. I have take pain medication for an injury and I get flack about that from people who dont even know I inject rx drugs. They tell me marijuana is better. But you know what I like getting my medication for free from the government and marijuana would help but I would have to buy it and then I wouldnt get my RX. So I can rarely smoke pot. Im just like well I do what works for me and thats the end of it. Im not gonna debate shit, I wasnt on the debate team (joke). Debating is polite arguing. Why fear your parents wrath unless you get an allowance or they buy you a car. Well neither one of those two things happened for me. I had a job since I was 14 so that made me a man then. I had to buy my own drugs, video games, cds, and alcohol. I was given some things on holidays like sports equipment and clothes, but I was let known that If I wanted a car I was to pay for drivers ed, insurance, and a car.
 
My parents never realize that Im high. Maybe it was mainly because of the pretty weak cannabis I've been smoking the last weeks... but back to the point! The only real change is that I talk a lot more when Im high on weed.
