Thatcher's dead

Is a belter of a tune eh, Knock? =D

“Some in Westminster have talked about her receiving a state funeral when she dies, which seems a bizarre sort of tribute to someone who believed the state should do as little as possible. It would be far more appropriate to allow competitive bids from private companies to run the funeral arrangements. 'And we now go over live to Westminster, where state leaders are lining up for Lady Thatcher's funeral sponsored by McDonald's. And there we see the coffin respectfully borne on the shoulders of six part-time burger-flippers dressed in the official Ronald McDonald costume, before the private cremation when the body will be flame-grilled with gherkins and a slice of cheese.'

It's what she would have wanted.”
― John O'Farrell

Bwahahahahahahahahahaa! =D

Met have just announced they will use Special Powers and section 60 stop and search in London on the day of Thatcher's funeral.

How apposite.

Have suggested such in the past myself, MDB. Still, nice to see the top-rated comment (however it got to be that way) is a decent one given the state of the Heil's coverage.

"In keeping with the great lady's legacy, Margaret Thatcher's state funeral should be funded and managed by the private sector to offer the best value and choice for end users and other stakeholders. The undersigned believe that the legacy of the former PM deserves nothing less and that offering this unique opportunity is an ideal way to cut government expense and further prove the merits of liberalised economics Baroness Thatcher spearheaded."

Sure showed them!

Hmm... Perhaps so, Monsta. Unsure of the relevance though... aside from them both being songs about a dead old bird who's bad for the health of the nation. So quite relevant after all then =D

Oh, I meant no relevance - Purely posted by accident ;)

It looks like the weather will rise to around 17 to 18 degrees in London next week when the funeral takes place, which will no doubt be warm enough to bring out all the fair weather socialists and anarchists. I expect a few more shop windows will be put through, police cars turned over and general mayhem.

If so communities could be punished accordingly, i.e removal of bus shelters in Birkenhead and no English teams in the Europa League next year.

For all you know, if that is from an anti-Thatcher demo, then that could have been done by one of Ted Heath's relatives.

In your next post, compare a broken shop window with support for a fascist South American dictator who loved to attach electric shocks to the testicles of his opponents and take them to football stadiums to have them shot.

Compare and contrast like. Have a try at being a student.

Breaking News: Hipster yuppie hops on another bandwagon. Go to the same school as MM by any chance? :D OOO maybe those cool working class kids like SHM will like me now <3

You do realise that isn't a pic of me, yes? And as for my schooling... well... I certainly wasn't Albion's fag ;)

Quite.

We all make mistakes. Although i'm sure you could rule a country for over a decade without stepping a foot wrong.

I shall call you the ungrateful petite bourgeois. Home owning, retired at 50, milking the NHS for all it's worth. You're part of the problem and benefited greatly from my rule. Of course you would have much rather been down t'pit. It's like when Alan Sugar pretends to still be working class haha.

They were some pretty big "mistakes" though...

I'm pretty sure I couldn't run the country for over a decade without putting a foot wrong. Doubt I could run the country for over a decade without putting a foot right either mind - something she seemed to have an uncanny knack for.

So you will vote for my darling boy Cameron at the next election?
