I do hope you know I am referring to Churchill and the Coalition, and Churchill after he hopped from the liberal party to conservative party before WW2. He was a massive socialist and went against the grain of the conservative party at the time. He was a massive supporter of the beveridge report and and was replaced in 1945 by Attlee and Labour who started the NHS (Not the Welfare State.
The welfare state, as I agreed was argualy started even before this period. But churchill took up the torch for it before Attlee was even in power. THESE ARE FACTS.
I hope the confusion has now stopped, since you all seem to think that I think Maggie Thatcher's Conservative party started the Welfare state? Learn to read please.
