Or rather, which somewhat arbitrary category do you fit into in the recent BBC "Class Test". Apparently old class distinctions are outdated so needed to be given newer, more marketing-type names and include the obligatory inclusion of Facebook and Twitter as being vital to the class struggle.

Short test here

Longer test here (but you get your own "personalised coat of arms" at the end of it apparently)

I only did the short one cos you have to register to do the longer one. Shame cos I've always wanted a coat of arms. Please console me by posting your coat of arms, folks :)

According to the short test I am a... Precariat. Quelle surprise.

Categorise yourselves for me, bee-yatches.

I notice how it didn't have any questions like 'Do you do Drugs?', and 'Please specify the amount'.

If so, perhaps it would have come out differently..

Ha!

I'm also an 'Emergent Service Worker', although if I was to own a sub 125k home instead of rent I'd qualify as established middle class. They were selling houses in Liverpool for £1 a little while ago, step aside lower class cunts.

I always thought 'class' was more a frame of mind rather than income/savings/job title scored... I know (fuck subjectivity) I live a far more considered life than a lot of people with money. Long live judging others and scribbling out imaginary boxes to close us all into though! Not a trace of hypocrisy here btw :p

Turns out I am also an "Emergent Service Worker" if I stretch the truth just slightly in the second question to include people I've spoken to on here rather than people I actually know. Proof that EADD makes you classier :D

Just did the long one and it doesn't give you a single category :-

Your scores for the three dimensions of class – economic, social and cultural capital – are summarised below.

I'm not posting that stuff, we had someone that used to brag about their 6 figure salary ;) ( I don't have s ix figure salary BTW )

No need to take the test as I already know I'm no class, low class trash and I fucking love it.

I got established middle class, but the financial round didn't account for earning potential, which I thought was a bit lax. My earning potential is large, but is yet to be realised as I'm only 25. Yet someone ten years my elder may earn slightly more but has far less potential. That round also didn't account for having a property portfolio. So I redid the test and added in my likely salary in a few years time plus the value of my four let houses to my house value and now it says I'm elite.

I'm sure if you work it all out you'll have a 6 figure salary ;)

I have many leather-bound books, and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
