Circumcision is so common in the US I've never seen an uncircumcised cock IRL. I've read a lot about it. If I had a son I don't really know which way I'd go. It's a very complicated topic. We had a huge thread on it years ago.

As an American I feel most American girls are quite ignorant and would probably be shocked they pulled down the pants and saw foreskin, and not in a good way. There are very few (white) guys here that are uncut.
As a guy I couldn't give less fucks, the only dick I have to deal with is my own, it's cut, and I'm perfectly happy with it, looks and function.
I think 99% of guys are happy with what they have (at least in terms of cut/uncut) just because its what they're used to. I don't think "oh noes the baby didn't have a choice" really matters whatsoever.

its interesting looking at that old thread.... it seems to be divided about 50/50.... either way it is still a cultural thing to a degree.... those who are vehemently against it are overwhelmingly located outside of the US...

There is no way circumcision increases pleasure.
Even from my own experience of comparing wanking normally (with the foreskin) as opposed to holding it at the base/shaft and just letting the head receive stimuli feels worse.
Not to mention the incessant stimulation of the head, because there is nothing protecting it inside your pants, desensitises the head compared to a head with foreskin to protect it.
I think everyone who circumcises their child should get beaten, and then have their ear lobes cut off on principle.

I don't really care either way as long as it's clean. Most penises are nothing to write home about when they're soft. I've seen some totally hot uncut cocks when they're hard, same with cut. Likewise with unattractive ones. The foreskin doesn't make that much of a difference either way. And call me crazy, but the guy it's attached to is way more important anyway.
As for circumcision... there's no way that it increases pleasure. The original reason for circumcision was religious and it was to denote one's covenant to God; it also prevented easy masturbation. At the same time, cut guys should be accepted for who they are and should not feel ashamed about having been altered. It wasn't their fault and they can still enjoy sex immensely.

I got cut when I was 14 by my own choice. I don't regret it but sensitivity did decrease afterwards and I had to learn to jack off all over again :/ wasn't there another thread like this in the recent past?

This is flat out wrong. You have it backwards. A penis with a foreskin has the head protected from day to day rubbing against the underwear keeping it sensitive. A cut penis would get used to the rubbing and the head of the penis would be somewhat desensitized.
Mine isn't cut but I've had compliments from girls because they thought it was. I don't know how the hell they got confused about that, or what women think a foreskin actually looks like.
It's simple to keep it clean so the 'it's cleaner' argument only applies if you're son is going to grow into a lazy slob.
