"Molly" is gaining popularity in the hip hop/EDM communities

most of these idiots probably wont get mdma anyways theyll be ingesting whatever and thinkin theyre all cool doin 'molly'.Rappers talked about rolling and ecstasy but i've also noticed every rap song has molly in it now, just take satisfaction in knowing youve had the real thing and appreciate it for what it is.

I first thought it was an Americanism, then I heard some folks from cambridge say it at a rave.... It fucking grinds on me... and not in the sexy way. (Thought I was gonna do a gurning pun was ya :D?)

But anyway there is hop-hop I like to listen to whilst on MD, as far as lyrics go, pretty generic gansta rap, but god damn it is catchy. The piano in the background and the chorus, very well crafted even if shallow.

 
Cause American culture bleeds into the mind of the weak :) I call it MD, not even mandy. I do call mephedrone- "dolly", which is just some shitty slang term from where I used to live, born out of misinformation from the chemicals make up.
 
I too mostly call it MD, annoyingly sometimes when I call it MD I get weird looks from people that don't know what I mean......

Yea I don't call most drugs by slang after I was like 16and had hands on like 20 things and people used slang or I used slang and brought the wrong thing so now im like know i don't use slang lol. Plus think about how many slang terms apply for multiply drugs lol
 
And guys even 50 cent rapped about popping ecstasy in the song called in da club... yeah I think I remember that right. Lol it was so popular and I remember dancing to that in 5th grade or whenever it was... just know it was around that year.

Seriously who doesn't know that song.... ecstasy has been popular in rap/hip hop for years. They just started using the slang term molly now.... a lot of rappers take mdma to write their music.

Lol what XD?! That's the most random ass, completely made up sounding claim I've ever heard... I call utter bullshit. How do you know what thousands of rappers all of whom don't know each other and come from different places and share only 1 thing in common, that they're rappers, how do you know how they write their music and what substances their on whilst they do it!? That's like saying every rock band smokes weed when they write music. Dumbest thing I've ever heard.
 
^I said a lot.. more like a chunk of rappers not everyone and how? Interviews... I believe eminem was even onr who said he liked to roll when in the studio. Why would I make that up lmao? There would be no point in doing so. I also know rappers who would never touch ecstasy. .. I could of used a better word than a lot.

Another rapper who rolls a lot and in the studio is gucci mane (is you rollin? Bitch I might be.)

I think it's obvious to anyone that the majority of "rappers" are writing their music when they are fucked up. Do they need a pill every time they get to the studio? No.. that would be dumb. But a large amount of artists have been taking drugs to help inspire them, and that's been going on for thousands of years.


You didn't think Charles Lutwidge wrote Alice in Wonderland sober, did you?

Sure people do drugs to inspire them. But to say that even a significant amount of rappers specifically use mdma whilst they're recording is a stupid uprovable and more than likely false claim. Just because eminem and one other guy I've heard of said they did it does not mean that lots do. I don't think many other types of muscians do and I don't know why you'd think this percentage would be higher for rappers... If it was a claim like dubstep artists, I would be more inclined to believe that because you have to be fucked to even begin to enjoy dubstep.
