I agree! The only really high does dutch beans iv tried were the snowflakes and although they were stronger I definitely prefer the new ghosts

anyone who was around in 88-92 will remember that the whole rave was loved upped - there were no bad pills or very rare, empathy, love, tracers ,gurning all garunteed strangers became friends for life - im convinced that the MDMA now is not the same, from what i read ,cant explain it, but then i havent had a pill for 10-12 years and theres no chance of getting any as clubs are now off limits - well i am 50 tomorrow : )
 
@c89 I had the exact same experience with the party flock. Eye wiggles and gurning but no euphoria or loved up feeling at all. I was taking beans in the mid 90s and these feel nothing like ecstacy to me.
 
Just done a right old miss mash of quarter red defqon, quarter orange elephant and quarter blu cross. Should be fun

Anyone come across tiny blue pills, rounded with a split line - no logo.. they're about 6mm by 4mm.. Getting one to test tomorrow - dude assures me they tested out ok with marquis at least..

See? They might be medium dosed, but they're fucking good MDMA, aren't they? It's totally obvious. I wasn't even sick, at any point, when I had them (I'm normally sick every time, but these Manchester pills have been treating me quite well). I think a lot of the magic loss is age. If you've not had one for ten years, chances are your serotonin receptors thought 'fuck this, I can't have this nonsense' a long time ago (I believe people start going off pills, when this happens - why would people stop doing them, otherwise? A lot of my mates all stopped, after battering them, but a good few have started again). Anyone who has recently started taking pills, how loved up would you say they get you? A bit? So loved up you can barely speak, you just want to cuddle the nearest thing? I'd like to hear some short reports on how MDMA makes you new people feel. This debate has been going on for so long. Some people say something changed around 2000, some say the Mitsis were the best old-skool pills, some say it changed after the drought... There must be some way to figure out if this is just older brains not enjoying things as much. Interested about the Shulgin report, also.

Treacle, I agree the Magic goes away very quickly - I guess the key factors is don't over do it, take decent breaks 3 months ideally - secondly our brains with the help of time & post loading properly do mend.

Re Magic:
I was lucky enough to meet a guy selling blank pressed pills made by his friend (Oct' 2010 - 5th Element Psy Party in Abbey Road NW10)- dropped 2 of them - (had been on a 18 month break) - however this was exactly the Synth of MDMA that gives the Euphoria - Loved up - Ego loss.

I could'nt even write down the guys number I was Peaking so Hard - with the "After glow" the following day.

Glad others feel the same in recent posts & earlier ones !

Thanks for answering my questions about the Nintendos guys - the Blue Ghosts & Ninja Turtles are on my Radar now ! !
 
See, when people talk about three month breaks and post-loading, I tune out. I've post-loaded, pre-loaded, had long breaks and not a lot of changes occurred, except lack of mid-week rage. I do agree that if you take pills every weekend, for years on end, you'll kind of lose the 'magic'. However, some people lose it after a few times. Everyone reacts differently, and some might benefit from supplements and breaks, and some lucky cunts might never lose the magic. I don't know anyone who truly still has the magic, however. That's why I keep going back to age. Maybe if you do pills for a year, then stop, wait ten years and drop again, you still won't get that magic, as the brain has learnt to avoid that sort of onslaught of serotonin. There's no proof for this, but it would explain why so many people believe it's a synth issue. Finding out new MDMA users' experiences will hopefully help. As has been said, how can MDMA not be MDMA, no matter how it was made? It'd be like water not being H2O. Like I've mentioned, is it possible different isomers are produced? That's really the only way that the 'new' MDMA can be different. I wish we could get an ADD guru in here to try and explain it. I'd love to know if it's my brain or my drugs. I'm still going to blame my brain.

I had one from the first batches of blue ghosts and they have been my favorite post drought pill. As mentioned before, they weren't knock your head off strong, but had produced consistent empathy and euphoria which I don't think any other press has matched recently.

I found a similar contrast when I used to dabble with crystal to, the brown sugar stuff from a year or two ago would produce a high similar to the Ghosts, but the more common cloudy brown harder crystal was more akin to Defqon, Elephant etc...

Interestingly though the less euphoric version was always far more psychedelic, producing mild acid like visuals after a large dose.
 
As someone who only started taking E's again couple years ago since my last one in 91 i'm in 2 minds about whether there really is any difference! i think the attitude of people nowadays is so different and the general vibe in clubs etc isnt really akin to what it was in late 80's early 90's where absolutely everybody was on one, nowadays you have a big mixture of people drinking, coke, MD and shite pips in same enviroment, i honestly think this is a massive factor in people not feeling empathy etc nowadays. I can honestly say that ive had some experiences on certain nights over past 2 years that come very close to the experiences i had with rhubarb & custards, Denis the Menace etc back in the day!!

One thing i do agree on tho is that there is definitely a different feel to certain pills around today, some seem to be far better than others and imo its usually the more medium dosed ones that give me the more loved up feeling, possibily in higher doses this gets left behind with the intenseness of stronger pills?

Ahh fucking lovely beans just the sight of them brings back a few memories, they where so cheap aswell, around £2.50 each, not the strongest but nice and clean, remember a friend getting 100 taken off him and there really not being a fuss, these days it would cost you a small fortune.
 
As a new user of MD (NYE 2011-2012 first time was smashed) can say that I do get big bouts of euphoria and just that general loved up feeling. Only ever consumed dutch beans, red defqons, speakers, partyflocks.. and the defqons especially had me in such a nice place. Sitting in the club, music sounding bliss, sided by two of my best mates and I just was overcome with joy and love.. the speakers not so much, felt kind of mongy on them,, guess that was from a v high dose but me and my mate just sat in, chatted shit and had a good time, not same experience as defqons though - which both times were fantastic! - then tried the partyflocks on hogmanay 2012 and they were gooooood, not really much empathy and love though but I attribute that to set and setting. Felt on fire on them, witty as fuck. Giving them a bash tonight again with a wee group and a good club so will report back on how they fared this time.
 
I too reckon the best pills at the moment are coming out of Manchester, the Team GB's and the marios and luigis just seem so much more euphoric than the dutch pills I've had. Not as strong, and you need at least 3 for a night out though. Had some nice amber coloured MD last night, £40 a gram split between 3 of us had us all very spangled. Very small crystals
