What are you listening to? Shitty lyrics, political overtones & de-policing

I'm continuously listening to this piece I've got going at the moment called "Raw Hide" that I'm yet to finish.
No wonder I'm putting nothing properly out into the aural domain - I've got about 6 tracks on the go and I'm making at most 16 bars each day I've the drive to make something! 8(

Still, I'm fairly happy with this one so far. It's one of the few Jungle-esque / Breakcorey tunes I've put out under this alias :)

I think all it took was one hastag to fuck up the whole link :|
Anyhoo - Please be a guineapig and test it for me ~{^_^}~
Should work now ;)

Working fine now thankee kindlee. Coming on nicely too. At 16 bars a day you'll have it finished some time this year too hopefully ;)

I also finally worked out I can just click on your name and get some other tunes. Doh! Who said I'm too old to work the intranetz 8)

please don't be offended by this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dD0JFejP1O4

the broad black brimmer. was listenin on me way to work this morning.. at lunchtime i then watched a 7 yearold egyptian boy on about the evilnesso f music and instruments (perhaps he's into techno) apparently tthe only instrument permissable in islam is the tambourine and that is only if you're a woman...hooray :)

cromwell didn't like instruments either did he?

Rebel songs? Even I've not gone that far, Pink. :D

Regarding the tambourine thing: That's only one (rather extreme) interpretation of Islam, though isn't it? Traditional Egyptian music (for example) is really something else - strange modalities and so on, and continues to thrive under Islam. Far more complex than most traditional western music. Probably more similar to traditional Irish music than you'd expect as well.

An Ultraorthodox rabbi might tell you that 'music isn't permitted in Judaism', whereas another might tell you that he's talking nonsense. And a Baptist preacher might tell you that dancing is sinful. All Abrahamic religions at their most hardline tend to struggle with music and (especially) dancing. They're all using the the same material to an extent, y'know?

But anyway... 1,2,3,4!

Ramones - I Wanna Be Well

Because I'd quite like to be well.

rebel music...........well you did ask on here :)

<racist/hate songs removed - I would not usually do this in this thread, as censoring music for being offensive is something I do not believe in, but there are some things that go too far for this forum - and the song titles alone needed snipping as I'm sure you can appreciate>

Can't find links anywhere but Sir Henry at Rawlinson End episode 5 is brightening my day at the moment.... extract:

'The now huge diplodocus had toppled unwittingly several towers relaying television plasma, and the starving inmates of Concreton were at the mercy of their unfed imaginations. And despite the reassurances of "High Rise Radio Concreton - we block your waves with air" that air drops of valium, videos, and vibrators were "on their way to brighten your day" the brutish bewildered populace rioted in Pompeiian tumult. Horrible to hear were the yelps of the looting dispossessed. Here we go, ‘ere we’re going, off to sunny Spain, oi oi oi, y viva Walgana, and the shrieks of the elderly as they were ambushed by brigands and robbed of their sleeping pills and inhalers.'

He has a way with words.
