It's a shame the album is so badly produced, I can't listen to it without getting annoyed at the compression abuse.
 
This never seems to make any 'greatest ever cover versions' lists, but it'd make mine. Eighties hardcore-band-gone-melodic covers ultra-melodic-sixties-hippyjangle-anthem. Beautiful.

Ooh, when did you see them?

I loved them when I was in my teens, but for some reason I can't really tolerate Shirley Manson anymore. Not quite sure why. I saw 'em back in '98 during the 2.0 tour though. They sounded pretty damn awesome, and near enough blew my head off they were so loud. Yet so clear. Often loud bands just sound muffled or distorted. T'wasn't the case with them.
