I like how this clown feels he has to justify something (I don't know what) to me by explaining that he didn't sell stuff while having a smack habit just because I have a different opinion about what makes a good DJ (Actually, I don't even have a different opinion, he just can't seem to understand that). I don't really get what his point is. I'm obviously not allowed to disagree with him. I only mentioned crack because he'd put that as a reason for editing a post & it seemed it may be clouding his judgement a bit.

He was definitely telling lies about the bookies thing right enough, fuck knows why he decided to bring that back up today.

I was talking about the "WHISTLE POSSE!" bunnets from back in the day. Although I feel the same about the drum & bass dudes nowadays. I've deliberately never been to any drum & bass night that might have an MC because it might have an MC & I might get locked up for throwing a chair at him. Shit does my head in. If I want to hear a shit rapper I'll listen to shit rap. You don't ever hear shite MCs on actual drum & bass records, so why have them at live shows?
 
MCs at dnb nights get right on my tits. i love dnb, infact i love all kinds of music, but dnb is fine banging away without mcs babbling over the top. ive found myself shouting shut the fuck up and walking off when an amazing dnb tune comes on, and they cover it with BLUB QWJKDBHADSDV SJ S\ JHSK GHCAjlACBLAHA YAAAAAAW FVUISVSBNVSJL COMON

The worst thing for me is rewinds. No I don't want the ace tune I'm loving dancing to being stopped at the drop and restarted, it's not as good second time around, you've lost all momentum. :! I love it when an MC calls a rewind and the DJ ignores them %)

Pontifex my boyfriend has actually played me a few DnB sets with an MC I can kind of appreciate, old Renegade Hardware stuff etc.. I can see how a really good one who can work with the music and the crowd can kind of enhance things. They really need to know when to shut up though and as PTCH said most of them are shocking and need to fuck off IMO..

Can't believe I missed a laptop set debate either, I have a very heated one with my boyfriend pretty regularly :D he's in the "if you're not using decks you're not a proper DJ and have no talent" camp and I am very much not, it's one of the main things that gets us shouting haha.. I think it partly comes from being into the breakcore scene where it's all about complicated live laptop sets, where as he's got more of a classic DnB/rave background. Anyway, not going to start it up again, but I did enjoy reading that with my morning coffee and e-cig.

I mentioned the crack coz he threw the toys out the pram for no real reason (that I could see) & he had edited that particular post with the reason "smoking crack" so I thought the crack might have been the reason for flying off the handle.

I've only been "arguing" because we've had a different opinion. Is that not allowed now? If 2 (or more) people have different opinions on something then talking about that thing is obviously going to be a sort of argument, it doesn't mean any of them are raging though. It's just a conversation between people who don't agree on something, most interesting conversations are like that.
 
80% of Assignment done should be done by 12 then a nice 40 minute drive into salford, still not been to bed yet then straight from salford to work till 10 tonight, not sure even a few morning coffees will keep me awake, although I do have a dex that I think is definitely getting consumed. Never leaving anything till last minute again... :| hopefully...

Seeemed more like a discussion than an argument anyway/opinion whatever way you look at it, only think ive ever been to a DnB night before and that was hospitality at warehouse, was actually pretty good, just avoided the MC most of the night in the other rooms. Still like to listen to DnB but I couldnt for fuck tell you anything about any decent artists or whatever, a good liquid DnB mix will keep me going for a good few hours if im tryna do some work.
