This has to be one of the most commonly asked questions ever hehe.
Well that's exactly what amphetamines are for and why half of college students (at least half of those who study at the latest possible date which is most of us) use them. You are more awake, focused, have more energy and it's easier to remember lots of boring crap you are going to forget again in the next weeks.
I highly recommend taking such drugs only for most important cases (ie. you need to study for a test which if you fail, you will drop out) and not every time you study because over time they become less effective and side effects more pronounced.
Instead try to improve your memory functions in natural slow ways, that means good sleep, good food and physical exercise. Especially sleep, your memory will always suck if you sleep 4 hours a day.
Nootropics do either nothing or slight improvement for most people however since they basically have no side effects there's nothing to lose by trying some. I have tried piracetam personally and it makes me more focused but I have to take big doses, several grams at once.
I have pretty good memory since childhood so I guess it's not so tempting for me to use drugs for studying, but it could always be much better of course.
Just in case, it's always worth mentioning IMO that cannabis and alcohol are really bad for memory so at least during exam months these 2 should be completely avoided.
