Strutter, why not resign at ED, cause you know that place is highly questionable to most with grey matter, and join here as a mod (EADD) instead?

Cause I wana continue to improve that part of the forum, I'm like one of them missionary fellas. There are some good posters in the forum and some very clued up and fun people, they're just often drowned out by the dross.

I've got a lot of work on at the moment and moderating ED is enough on its own. We'll see if things change :)
 
cut your losses man. you'll never win in ED. You have made some good changes with the stickys and especially the "6 rules of MDMA" but the amount of retarded posts far outweigh any decent posts
 
ED is fucking shit Strutter, it's not your fault, you're obviously a decent person and have good intentions, but really, it's a pile of shyte.

I wasn't planning to do so initially, but a few changes in circumstances (a lot of them personal, some BL 'business' related and far more dreary than you might imagine) have led me to decide that now is the perfect time to lay down my own modstick.

I've no doubt there will be tears before bedtime in the home of every EADD regular, but save the weeping for another time. Now is the time for fresh lambs to go to the slaughter, not to take in the stench of rancid mutton.

All I can say is it's been a hell of a ride, I've worked with some good people, and despite the low points (which were very public) I became pretty fond of this forum. So I'm going to quit while I still am.

I've expressed a wish to carry on until the next appointments are made, but it appears it might not turn out that way. So I'm getting in here now.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who lent their support / acknowledged me as a human being along the way. <3

To everybody else, all the best.

I rarely log on these days but it seems every time I do, someone new's resigning! Are there mysterious dark forces at work?

EADD will be unrecognisable with 3 new mods but till then I think we should take advange of this time of flux to stage a coup. Or a rebellion. Or something.

What? No floral tributes? No long, tearful PMs begging me to reconsider? :D

It's not the place to discuss behind-the-scenes business (and it's all either absurd or boring anyway), but as I say, there's plenty going on in my real life that I need to address.

EADD is a big commitment both emotionally and time-wise (or should be) and I can't really say I'm in an ideal position to continue that commitment, especially once it stops being enjoyable and rewarding and becomes a pain in the arse. Which it hasn't become yet, but it could well do in the not-too-distant future.

This place deserves more than someone who's going through the motions, frankly.
 
Ha you know I think you're great sam, I think all mods are great. Whether I like them personally or agree with what they do all the time is neither here or there, every mod puts a lot of time & effort into facilitating the existence of this place. So thank you for everything you've done :)
