I think that it's important to remember that likability is not necessary for a character to be interesting.

This isn't a critique of anyone's opinion, just something I like to keep in mind.

I'm glad you spoiled that for me, b/c I hate that character vehemently, so it is a relief to know she'll be ended soon.
 
i like things that're worthwhile, but am a couple hours in and ready to delete season1.mkv files. is there a pickup, or is the pace so far what i should be expecting?

If you didn't like the pilot, the series might not be for you.
 
am suspecting as much... suck, cuz buscemi is huge to me, and prohibition-themed anything is interesting to me. was really psyched for this series but yeah, have just been "waiting to get it" to no avail and really reconsidering if that will happen lol.

/currently torrenting earlier LOST seasons to watch for the billionth time. will wait on b.bad and true blood for my 'new' dramas.

/definitely my fav series of all time, but won't even pretend i'm close to a position to rate popular television. just became aware of boardwalk empire's existence about a week ago..

Bet you can't sit through The Godfather either

Boardwalk Empire is Zeus tier and if you can't watch a season or two of some kinda slow build up with some awesome character development then maybe you should watch something else with a lot of explosions or car chases and shit to keep your tweaked out mind focused on the show
 
I really do like this show so far (I'm a quarter through season 3), yet I only come to this thread to complain. Given that, I wanna say I can't stand the opening sequence, or opening credits, or whatever, to this show. One of the worst I've seen. It is pretty boring and uncreative and the music would fit better for Sons of Anarchy.
