Me & the witch made up about 30 mins ago, was a long ass morning with rude vibes & long silence hanging in the air for quite a while but it seems to be cool atm

I don't see why gay people (or even straight people) would want to get married (in the contemporary sense), save for the fact that every third or fourth tabloid TV series is about weddings.

To my mind it's a relic of an age long gone, though there are some who find that kind of thing important. Each to their own.

Some gay people decide to be Christians too. To me (and presumably to you) that's turkeys voting for Christmas, but we recently covered the issue of Christian attitudes towards homosexuality in Gibberings, so let's not retread that particular ground today.

If Christianity is serious about reform, however, then I can't see how it can defend its stance on not allowing gay marriages to occur under its roof. To deny gay Christians that opportunity is a tacit admission that gay men and women are not so much welcomed by the church as tolerated by it.
 
Fair does, hows everyone doing? Been feeling better, probably cause i dont have much to do atm, but got a 3 month gym pass for a fiver so i'm using that :) used to swim like a fish when i was young but cant manage owt these days haha, relaxing though. & glad to hear it farma
 
Plus, Christians have indeed been known to pray in mosques, and Muslims in churches.

In centuries gone by (especially in parts of the Islamic world) multi-faith prayer facilities would be provided along major trade routes, at which people of various creeds could make an offering to the deity of their choice.

Part of the reason many redundant churches become converted into mosques is that they're already considered to be places of spiritual power and focus.

they can't even bring themselves to allow women bishops, which would be a start.

True

I hate Christians & their semi Jewish faith tbh, they came along & wiped away all the old religions of Europe, anyone that didn't accept this new religion was killed & their places of worship were wiped out in flame & murder.

also alot of christian things are from the old faiths of Europe, what they could not destroy or wipe off the face of the planet they merged with their Jewish faith.

No huge shock I believe in things like Ba' al (Belus) Loki (Loptr) Fárbauti etc etc........
 
A big massive gay guy (Literally. About 6' 5" & 20 stone) pulled my mate up at a party for singing 'The Pope John Paul Wears Half A Ball'. He claimed to be a solid practicing Catholic & was shouting that he was offended by the song. My mate said to him "You're a shite Catholic then. The Pope fucking hates you!". Luckily the big dude seen the funny side & didn't throw him off the balcony or pump him to death.

It goes slowly, slowly - ever so slowly - til payday, Brimz. But seems I've inherited the sun from down your way yesterday. Blazing sunshine here. Fuckin' freezing but sunny as fuck.

Also, plumber's just been and fixed me leaky toilet so less chance of slipping in suspect liquids than in previous days. Always a boon.

nah, the church can't really claim to be interested in reform and getting with the times when they just voted against allowing women bishops.

don't want to start another 'debate' today though, I've got a christmas cake to bake :|

We live the same lifestyle , same age i bet theirs plenty more similarities .

When you have been living like this for longer than well along time , it's hard to explain to people isn't it ?

you know the fast life with the fast cars n all the bling .

Aye. It's one of those "live it to know it" only kinda lifestyles really, Brimz. Probably not to all tastes, mind...

Didn't realise we were of similar vintage but thinking about some of the stuff you've posted that sounds about right. And ya, probably a fair few similarities going on there. If I ever make it down your neck of the woods again we should maybe compare notes or summat. Never been to Bath but occasionally make it down Brizzle-way which ain't a million miles away. Always fancied waving a gun at a nun :D
