sorry to hear your so down mate bad times, stop looking back and reflecting on the negatives of the past, nothing can change it fuck the past, (easier said than done i know) and yes its worth the effort to stay clean

she never had a "real" habit on anything, she was big into speed but only did gear a few times when we first got together. I NEVER score for a "joy banger" but she was a different case. As she never had a real habit let alone on the gear she has no idea of the "ghosts" that stay with you.
I mean the gear is a whole lifestyle, it's not something you pick up & put down for pleasure when your hooked it takes your whole day up & she has no idea what it's like, yet she sit's there & tells me her view on heroin which imo is dumb, unless you been there you cant say anything about heroin.

10 years I messed up, 10 whole years I can never get back & I look around me now & half of me wants to really go back to that life, people have no idea how heroin stays with you in your soul even after you kicked it.

I've been officially "clean" (ugh. horrid term :|) for the best part of ten years now. Which ain't far off from how long I was using ('bout twelve(ish) years) so should be but a distant memory really. Isn't though. Doesn't take much to get all rosy-tinted about how much better life was then, or about how little different it is now, so what's the point in staying off the gear. There's generally enough actual memories lurking just below the tintyrosy surface memory to decide that on balance junkydom is of fairly limited appeal given the pretty shithouse of a lifestyle that tends to come attached though. I suspect that may be the case for many - if not even most - in such positions <3

Yeah but only 0.001 % of employees will ever make ceo to begin with so that stat means nothing to begin with

Are we at the point where we think every employee should make CEO? if so fuck yeah sign me up for that and I wont work 100 hour weeks

Bottom line is everyone would like to be CEO of an Investmet bank regardless of gender or our work ethic

I know how bad it is, getting busted scoring, shoplifting, can't score so your ill, waiting round on street corners on Xmas day in the snow & Ice while everyone else is eating dinner in the warm with their family, kicking the gear & puking/shitting yourself, not sleeping for 2 weeks after kicking, the people you have to deal with etc etc........

Sometimes I just look about me & think how do people really cope without gear when you had a real habit, If those "gear ghosts" aint left you yet shambles what hope is there for me?.................
I think I am done for tbh, got to add I am shocked you were on gear tbh, you came across too "clean" in a way.

One possibility: only 8% of recruits are female, so in order to enter MS in the first place, women have to be much better than the male candidates. If only 7 or 8% of candidates are female, then it stands to reason that those 8% are really good. So we shouldn't be surprised to see them being promoted.

I think it's total bullshit to suggest that gender has anything to do with who has 'power'.

where does this premise come from that having 'power' is a good thing for an individual to want to attain in the first place?

having power boils down to how good you are at being a total cunt, male or female.

Stanford MBA has about 330 grads a year
Harvard has around 270 iirc

Morgan stanley will only hire 200 people a year tops in London, they earmark about 30 from stanford, 30 harvard and 30 from LSE and another 30 from Cass School MBA
They hire about 20 from oxford/cambridge/warwick/lse as undergrads

Out of these, tops maybe 18-24 are women, rest are men

So basically they hire tops 24 women from an intake of 330 each year

Do the math, they only hire the SMARTEST women, and usually only ones who do physics degrees not economics anymore

What I am saying is its basically impossible to get into banking now as a women, but IF you can, your path is set and Morgan Stanley will basically allow you to progress to MD IF your a woman
 
Also, why is female emancipation guaged in what job they can get, what salary they can earn?

If there is a glass ceiling preventing women in this country being all they can be, it's a psychological one in their own heads.

erm, we were talking about corporate positions on the FTSE and financial sectors. Positions are defined job roles with very defined responsibilities with regard to power

You seem to be mixing that up with social human behaviour and relationships, which is of course very different.
