from what I've read GHB is the best GABAergic for sleep. It is prescribed for such, though extremely restrictively. Interestingly enough GHB is schedule one but the pharmaceutical preparation is schedule three, go figure.
However, it poses a greater abuse liability to myself as well because I find it more recreational for some odd reason. That's probably just me (and a few others) though. Usually everyone I've spoken to thinks it's crap.
Flurazepam (Dalmane) is good too.
Perhaps this is a rarity - but um; the one time I was prescribed Dalmane because I ran out of (refills) my regular prescription for Xanax (my doctor abruptly went away for a week); I went into acute WD (or at least it felt that way) after ingesting the Dalmane.
Later on, I learned that apparently Dalmane is the only benzo which selectively binds to benzo receptors. Wondering if that would be the reason why I reacted to it the way I did.
i do not abuse benzos anymore since they are only sleeping aids for me but triazolam is one of the few recreational benzos for me that give the nice buzzy euphoric warmth a benzo rush should have. also its short halflive make it perfect for "during day" use.
temazepam and pregabalin dont interrupt REM sleep
they are the best sleep meds IMO
