Winning the war could have been the worst thing that ever happened, if Germany had taken over europe and then america and then agreed with china's views then we could have had a whole united world and been on the way to further technology and been exploring deep space with manned crafts rather than continuing to fight silly little wars.

A lot would have had to have been lost but there would have been some gain too. Also, as I said before, THIS IS ALL HAPPENING IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE.
 
I'm not gonna argue about this anymore as I know too many folk who have been affected by war, whether it was Northern Ireland, Bosnia,the first Gulf war or Afghanistan.
I believe we all have a duty to show our forces respect or you may as well line up with that particular muslim hate group and spit on our soldiers and our dead soldiers coffins.
Not many things get me worked up but this obviously does and I don't intend to allow folk the chance to try and wind me up so they can have a laugh.
 
nobody is winding anyone up, but the fact that you show "our troops" so much respect regardless of their job just shows you up as being a complete cowtower as well

Personally I like our troops, but im not going to be bullied or made to feel like a traitor for thinking they made the wrong life choices when they agreed to sign up as being targets for almost half the worlds population ( in a manner of speaking)

Most rational minded people on our planet do not support the life your beloved troops follow Maxalfie, and it's not meant in a bad way, its just a rational way

Tried to reply to this earlier before you added that tracklisting but my internet sketched. Here it is...

He's not that bad, just boring. If I hadn't seen him plenty times before then I'd happily go see him. Past couple times I've seen him I've not thought much of him.

Who's worth seeing now? Just tryna think who I've seen fairly recently - Magda, Pan-Pot, Surgeon, Ricardo, Loco Dice, Slam, Rab Hood, Carl Craig, Josh Wink, Surgeon, Maya Jane Coles (admittedly some of them are "old school" but still fucking incredible).

I know pretty much everything on that tracklisting (then again, I'm hardly a teenager, I'm 27 lol). The Sandwich Song %) (as it was known for ages amongst my mates, due it just being on a mix my mate's big brother had made with no tracklist), that Detroit Grand Pubahs track "Lets make sandwiches" haha, fucking belter of a tune!

I've seen about 5 or 6 of the artists on that tracklist play out within the past year or so as well.

Ha, my phone went on silent about midnight. It'll start blowing up soon, then again at 3am when it's club kick out time. Nothing worse than making the mistake of answering the phone to a wasted cunt standing outside a club when you've been sitting in the house sober all night.

Two of my good mates signed up. One in the Army & one in the Navy. Both technicians of some sort, not quite sure what the one in the navy does as he hates it & doesn't talk about it much other than to say how shite it is lol. The one in the army is now an avionics technician (or engineer or something like that). Basically he fixes helicopters & gets paid a fuckload of money to do it while living in Germany for practically free & he fucking loves it. He's rattling to go to Afghanistan because he'll get paid more. He's highly unlikely to ever have to even point a gun at someone though, never mind get shot or blown up. There's much more to the army than the cunts on the front line getting hit with RPGs.

I would never do it. Would I fuck. But thank fuck that some of these "stupid" people do, so that I don't have to. Mugz are you even aware of national service? See if all these idiots didn't join the army then you would be made to. I know my grandpa didn't want to go cutting about jungles in Malaysia to watch his best friends die, he didn't choose to, he had to. If everyone had the same opinion about the army as some of you in this thread do then we'd be made to fucking sign up for a couple years.

Btw, did you just say it might have been better if Germany had won the war? My long dead grandparents would crawl out their graves & kick your fucking teeth in if they heard you say that.

If someone honestly thinks that none of them thought of the consequences of going to war in Afghanistan or other places crossed their minds and if it wasn't a choice for a lot of them of doing that or not being able to feed themselves/have a roof over their head/feed their family then I hate to say it but I know who the 'stupid' one is.

My mate who joined the army thought of the consequences. I told him he was a fucking idiot until he explained it to me. I think he's signed up for something like 6 years, might be longer (he's done about 3). He's only just finished training, so they need to get their money's worth out of him. They've invested silly money training him. Before he joined he was fucking about like me, taking random jobs, no real prospects, no chance of a decent wage. Now he makes good money, he's done loads of cool shit, he's been trained & is qualified to do loads of stuff that will help him once he leaves the army &... shock-horror (mine as much as anyone else's) he actually likes it.

Mugz - Even if somehow in the fantasyland that is your brain the world would be better by now, 65 years later, you're basically saying that it would have been OK for "evil" to prevail. There's no two ways about it, nothing to do with propaganda machines & the winners writing the history books etc, the Nazis definitely were "the baddies" in WW2. Also, you would probably have been gassed by now as you're clearly a bit insane. Do you have any disabled (i want to say spazzy lol but clearly that's not the right word, I don't know what is, mentally handicapped?) relatives at all? Morgan Stanley will hardly ever hire an analyst who is jew , they will always hire waspy guys from oxbridge/warwick/lse etc , yet will never PROMOTE an analyst to full blown trader/ vp of trading unless he is jewish.
