It's October - I don't think it's too early to start a christmas thread

What is the script with that? One rocks up in Glasgow every year as well. Why does a German market turn up around Christmas time? It's not like it sells particularly Christmasy things, just sausages & shit.
ah yes, but birmingham was the first. i don't think they have one in coventry tho, germasn's aren't too popular there. our own markets are getter, all year round and cheap.
yes birmingham really is innovation city. living in the inner city i also have easy access to heroin, but it's easy enough to get in the suburbs like sutton coldfield.

birmingham was once the china of the world. i was disappointed to see russian dolls in british homestores that were made in china. it does have an excellent christmas gift selection, better than the german market.

was gorgeous 2 years ago when it snowed loads and loads

Sorry PinkP but think its way too early for xmas thread.
I hate Xmas at the best of times, all false happiness, families getting together for the first time since last xmas and pretending that they all love each other when really the couldn't give a shit.
Especially dreading it this year now I'm jobless. Last year I could afford to buy my son a laptop and other goodies.Fuck knows how I am gonna be able to get him anything this year.
Xmas for sure is my worst time of the year.

ah but you are off the gear..how old is he? my son's birthday is a few weeks before..thank fully i'm still working, but it is stress.. that's why i'm trying to plan ahead. i hate spending january with no money.

He will be 19 in January. I am just gonna have to get him the best that I can, I'm sure he will understand that I'm not so well off this year.
I plan on staying home with my flatmate who just happens to have been my best friend for about the last 20years.
He can cook a good xmas dinner and we will get plenty of films in to watch and a few beers.

Spot on, couldn't agree more

Well I'm quite looking forward to it. Or at least I will be nearer the time, it's too early to really be thinking about it just now. I always enjoy Xmas day mainly because I can be drunk from breakfast time and no one batters an eyelid or tells me to get a grip.

People have started posting christmas cards in numbers this week.. :( Here we fucking go :(

My son got his first christmas card today from a classmate, envelope with son's name on, opened it, 3 blank christmas cards and a sheet of 4 gift tags.

Some people are far too organised. I don't start thinking about xmas gifts until at least 24th of December. I don't bother with cards, no one gives a fuck if they get a card anyway.

looking forward to christmas, week off work, lots of getting off my rocker

i wouldn't call sending a n envelope with cards and gift tags being organised...there is no such thing as being too organised/too prepared
