Benzos Benzos.......Are they really fun/recreational?

Benzos are good for sitting and watching some sport with having a few beers. Nice and relaxing. But they're over-rated as a "recreational" drug in terms of "fun." I do have friends who like to take 30mg of valium and stumble around from bar to bar. I guess that's "fun."

My personally opinion is, they're not worth it. Once benzos hook you by the balls.....ugh. Fuck that ever again. 4 weeks of intense anxiety, followed by 6 months of foggyness. Horrible shit to get off.
 
Just to add, last night I had some Quitapine (Seroquel) on hand, which I use rarely if I need sleep, at around 1/4 of a pill. Sad thing is, if I miss that initial really sleepy stage I get stuck in this state of tiredness, but unable to sleep.

Yesterday it happened big time. In bed, tired but still really UNEASY. I could feel my heartbeat, had some shortness of breath for some reason, almost two hours in bed aswell. If I take more Quitapine I will have a massive hangover which I hate...In comes around 4mg of Diazepam....GOOD GOD!!!, thank god for the chemists who made such a drug that can have this effect. It just literally felt like a wave of relaxation sweep the fuck over me, I just felt this little wave like rush in and then relaxed in bed and slowly drifted off. It was amazing....I felt it way more as it was relief and the fact that my eyes were close trying to sleep while the effects crept in, so I FELT it all physically sort of sweep in.

So maybe not recreational, but man benzos can be really bloody good in some situations man.

Anyone who has abused benzos for an extended amount of time will definitely agree with the above quote. I wish someone would have warned me about the dangers of benzos before I started abusing them.
 
A short answer imo would be that it depends on the person. Like for example if they have anxiety and they get relieved of it, then it CAN be recreational and cause euphoria. But some people just get sleeepy and tired because they dont have anxiety in the first place or just react differently to it
 
id say xanax is recreational but that ma just be for me as i have pretty bad anxiety. i have trouble conversing with people normally but with xanax i have a much easier time
 
For me they have only really worked for anxiety and that counts for every sort I have had maybe half a dozen or more over the last 10 years, I had agoraphobia and they were my life saver. As for recreational I think it would suck to take them and hang out with friends ya probably just get tired before anything, I think it's very vague euphoric effect, but seriously do you want to be taking something when you don't need to? Peace.

Yea usually for me its euphoric because it relieves anxiety and annoying thoughts...It seems alot of people on bluelight "just have" benzos with them lol
Like on alot of opiate withdrawal threads, people would say "just take a xanax" lol if i had some that would be great! If only i knew how to get a script!
 
benzos are good for sleep and anxiety, although they're pretty nice when combined with other drugs like opiates (which is dangerous, I suggest avoiding mixing CNS depressants) or stimulants.

Damn i hope it isnt weird i keep finding your posts Bigfanofthemdrugs haha
I love weed when im on a benzo, truly the only time im guaranteed not to get paranoid or fast heartbeat, etc. Forget about remembering it though haha what i like to call "xanax moment"
 
The 1st benzo I tried was Valium. I enjoyed the feelings I felt on them. Seem to make me feel more open especially around people.
I got my hands on 60 1mg kpins. Chose 1mg to start then been eating .25 of a pill every 30 mins. I want to say I'm around 2.25mg right no . The feeling is nice. I may end up taking another .5mg here to see how. I'm also coming off a few hits of meth I took earlier.

it kind of dulls the weed high a bit for me, cause i never get anxiety when i smoke (i actually use it to treat anxiety), but i can see how some people who do get anxious might like taking xanax with it. i have tried xanax with LSD and shrooms (seperately, LSD and xanax one time, and shrooms and xanax another time) and it gets eid of the anxiety, and while it does take the therapeutic introspective mental high, it gave me vastly intensified visuals, and off 1 tab and .5mg alprazolam i had a dissociative-like intense visual experience where i had very little awareness of the real world, but instead i was in my head, and i had just watched total recall (original arnold shwarteznegger version) and i was exploring that world in my mind. its quite an experience, very pleasant. with shrooms its more lucid and calm with a more organic feeling visual, although still very strong visually, with acid its 20 times more intense, and is an overall different experience altogether.

Most of the music I've written (quite a bit) was written staying up all night on clonazepam... they don't just make you sleepy. The most motivational drugs I've ever done were clonazepam and amphetamine.

But taking these without combinations I feel no euphoria. I would think the Valium would give me euphoric effects, even the Xanax. I took 5mg of xanax and nothing.... well a feeling of relaxation but not a feeling you get after taking 5mg perc.

Do these benzos cause no euphoric effects.? Or am I just different from everyone else?

I once snorted a 5mg valium which I found very euphoric probably because I was suffering from severe anxiety at the time and that's the only time I've found them pleasurable. I could take them now and get nothing worthwhile out of them. From my limited experience I'd say that IMHO it's your state of mind that dictates your reaction to them.
