Weed really isn't much without opiates, but i think if you smoke it on top of bupe you'd be straight.

That is covered bro, trust me... I have had med weed almost since it was first possible... I just don't like/can't use ganga at/during/or before work, as it does no good and violates my agreement.

Ganja at night time only... this leaves me with extreme pain during the day, due to a terminal disorder... so I have to use my hydrocodone to get through the day. I am really considering getting some Kratom. I am just hesitant, as I know not which vendor to go with (not asking, as I know that sourcing is not allowed!). So, until I can find one that I trust, I probably won't order any...

I'm not really unhappy with the fact that I am dependent on opiates, just more concerned than anything. I don't like consuming the APAP and don't like the gastro-intestinal problems that come with opiate use. Not to mention the decrease in libido! As, I love to fuck, and the more op's I take, the less I even care about sex... :(

I would like to just be able to get up without generalized pain over my entire body and acute nasty pain in certain joints and tendons... It is rough, but I have the strong will to get better, so I will be fine, I just wanted to post some personal experience to help motivate others who are struggling to manage their pain and substance use.

I haven't used H in nearly a decade, so that post was focusing on the past experiences and relating them to current issues and resolves. I am on a fairly low dose of op's these days, but still suffer from WD's every morning... So, I am starting to consider dropping the opiates and re-evaluating my pain levels. The cannabis will of course help with this. Thanks for the suggestion, but I know very well the powers of Ja... My favorite cannabis product is salve. It doesn't get you "high" and relieves significant amounts of pain as well as anti-inflames tissue with an un-surpassed level of success. Then, if I need a little psych help, a toke off the ole glass on glass straight tube, 2 footer works wonders... %)

I wouldn't waste your money on 'treatement'. Honestly as others have mentioned, kratom can be absolutely excellent for tapering down your mu receptor activity. The type you want is undoubtably plain old regular Bali Leaf, it's the cheapest most generic kind and easiest to prepare and also the most consistent in terms of active alkaloids.

Quitting opiates is probably the hardest thing you'll ever have to do, but I did it after shooting bundles of heroin per day, so I know that you can get off of percs. Anyhow, one of two methods is gonna be your sure fire way to realistically quit without beating around the bush. Either you taper down and quit, or you quit cold turkey.

Each way is essentially cold turkey, which in my honest opinion is the most effective and easiest way to quit. Any other method and you're just dragging and dragging and dragging. It is especially helpful if you can get away from your dealer source for a few days or better yet weeks (i know that's unrealistic). You have to be prepared to conquer a war. It really is like war, it's very difficult and extremely painful but if you decide to do it, then make sure you follow through. Just know that within a few days you'll start to feel better and better, and after that you continuously just feel better and better pretty much indefinitely.

It really is quite an amazing thing to be off of opiates, and just imagining the way i felt a year ago nearly makes me cry... it's unbelievable. You just have to understand that time is relative, and when you are fully clean and free with withdrawal effects, you will be a completely new person with new desires, new outlooks, improved physical health, much more energy, and a willingness to succeed. This is all assuming of course, that you actually want to quit for the simple reason that life totally fucking SUCKS when you're using.

Good luck with whichever method you choose.

Man some people have no idea whats in store for them when they try to quit opiates.... shit is ridiculous

Honestly the only opiates you can take longterm and still be relatively normal are the maintence ones if you want to go that route..

but maintenance sucks ass;

fucking fuck

Thanks for all the feedback, folks.
The thing that's sucking right now is the insomnia, and the lack of mental alertness that accompanies it.
Broke down and took a perc this morn. At least I felt it for a while when I took one.
... So it's sounding like I should be getting Bali Kratom instead of Maeng Da

Cool - Thanks

I ended up running out on the day of one of my finals! I was getting up and running outside to puke on the grass outside the classroom every 20 min! Afterward, some angel from class noticed my suffering and administered me like 60mg of methadone and probably saved my life...

That HAD to have SUCKED!
I've been enduring job interviews lately. All while in the middle of trying to adjust or eliminate my dosage of opioids.
Surprisingly I ended up getting hired!
I'm having success with the Kratom, but the stuff I got was of the stimulant variety and I was sleepless for a number of nights, so I'm going to try out some of the Bali.
Meanwhile I've been going back to about 20 mg/day of oxy, and filling in the spaces with the Kratom. It seems to work for the present time.
I've decided I'm going to take it easy on myself for the present time at least.. I'm lucky to have found a job that doesn't drug test.
The important thing is for myself, I am using about 1/4 the dosage that I was using last month and there are no dreadful W/D symptoms. Nor will I be experiencing any periods where my supply disappaers prematurely.
So I've got a lifestyle that I can manage and still hold a job.

A sidenote about Kratom; I have tried a variety of prescription antidepressants. They all SUCKED. That was when I decided that opioids were for me. Well, we all know what the downsides are to opioid dependance. Kratom is the antidepressant I was looking for when I decided to try opioids.

It works for a lot of people. And yea Bali is the way to go, meang da is kinda edgy and not near as sedating, although some peeps prefer that I guess.

Thanks for all the help, people.
I switched from Maeng Da to Bali Kratom recently.
I like the Bali better. Maeng Da would give me cottonmouth and keep me up at night and make my hands shake.
Bali is much more relaxing.
I've been taking small doses at frequent intervals, about 1/2teaspoon every 45min
