Your problem isn't make-up, it's acne.
Topical niacin and
low-GL/dairy-free diets have very few side-effects. I say this not because I'm against make-up but because you could be doing some damage to yourself with the benzoyl peroxide, especially if it turns your whole face red. You need to lay off, give your skin time to heal, and work on understanding what usually goes on in your life before you break out. If you pay attention to it you may be able to identify the cause, and you may notice times when the break-outs are not as bad, and what you might have done or what you might be able to do to prevent that.
I had pretty bad acne until I gave up milk and tried to eat lots of
vegetables that contain carotenoids. It hasn't gone away completely, but it improved a lot.
Another trick is to swap out your pillowcase regularly. It's not good to hold your face next to some nasty piece of cloth for eight hours.
Also, you don't need to feel bad about having acne. It's okay. If you leave it alone for a while you'll probably find that it doesn't look as bad as you think it does when you obsess over it. Worrying also leads to touching your face, which is bad.
