Do you mind not talking about me when I'm not in the thread.

ppfftt I am not SHM and SHM is not me. Leave him alone.

Oh I see what you were doing. I read the post and wondered what you were on about but I think I get it now.

I vanished it. One too many idiots in EADD for my liking right now.

There's always the 'ignore' function for people who get up your nose, y'know? That goes for the person I think you're referring to as well. Who I'm sure is savvy enough to know it's him you're talking about.

I know EADD thrives on being edgy, but do we need another feud? Not this week.

Now play nice, or Uncle Sammy's putting on the shellsuit and the jewllery and coming to fix it for you both. :)

Police report there are now 340 'lines of enquiry' for the Met investigators to pursue.

Looks like Dirty Jimmy will rank among the biggest molesters of all time. But he remained untroubled by either the law or the press throughout his disgusting lifetime. Who fixed it?

Does Jimmys sexual proclivities negate all the good he did for charity? Just wondering how much hate to apportion to him.

There was even an Undertones song about him - how on earth did we all miss this?

Jimmy Jimmy
Jimmy Jimmy - Oooh
Jimmy Jimmy wouldn't let go

I'd say that it does. It seems that his charity work was done in order to gain access to the vulnerable and immunity from negative press. You don't need to hate him if you don't want to.

But he did save an awful lot of peoples lives. Can we hate him with a sprinkling of grudging admiration?

Is it just my hackles that rise at mention of the phrase "it's for charity" and who's immediately suspicious of those who let it be known they "do a lot for charity"? Charitable activities, like ablutions, are best done in private.

I feel that the motivation behind ones actions is more important than the action itself. He might have done good things, but they were done to both facilitate and obscure his true intentions, which were pretty evil. You can hate him whilst grudgingly admiring him if you like. I'll keep it simple and just hate him.

Yeah but not every child molester single-handedly builds a hospital. The interview I saw with the head of Stoke mandeville said he raised "well in excess of 40 million probably closer to 80 million" and "without Jimmy this hospital wouldn't exist".

Gary Glitter didn't build a hospital did he. I think you can hide your intentions in easier ways than raising 80 million quid for someone else.

It depends on how you weigh up your moral tab really. Does a good deed ameliorate a bad one? Or are evil deeds impossible to expunge? I reckon that someone that never gave a pound to charity, yet also hasn't raped anyone is a better person than someone who raises £80 million yet engages in the worst kind of abuse.

For sure some rapists are worse than others

I hope that this is the catalyst for society to change its attidue and focus on the attrocities of the past. It's not OK to molest kids, it's not OK to turn a blind eye to it and while we're at it did anyone else have a creepy PE teacher who watched you in the shower?
