Is 0.5 mg of clonazepam really the same as taking 1 mg of ativan? That can't be right i thought that ativan was stronger then clonazepam??


And with clonazepam this is sort of a point where u can't get much higher but ativan there is no limit so to speak?

you will find different equivalency charts when it comes to benzodiazepines

I am under the impression that ativan is a little less potent than clonazepam but not by that much

only one way to tell whats true for your own biochemistry

Equivalency charts for benzos measure the severity of dependance & withdrawal. The lowest possible dose (.5mg clonazepam or 1mg Ativan) is suppose to be the safe dose to quit with minimal or no withdrawals (NOTE: in practice this is not always true).

but, in the field, it might not feel like a=b,
especially when it comes to benzos & and their effects..
which seem to vary significantly from person to person.

1mg clonaz = 1mg xanax = 2mg ativan, 20mgs valium, medically speaking though. usually people get more out of one benzo then the other. take the eq charts with a grain of salt

What I meant by that, is that while one dosage might be equal to twice the dosage of another, it doesn't mean that the stronger one will necessarily get you twice as fucked up...

This is true^, but when it comes down to benzo activity, lorazepam is 1/2 the strength of clonazepam and alprazolam. I believe this fully as I've switched back and forth between 1mg of Xanax/clonazepam and 2mg of lorazepam. However, some people who have low tolerances to benzodiazepines may find lorazepam's effect more apparent as it is shorter acting, and has more hypnotic effects than both clonazepam and alprazolam. I personally find Ativan to be a shitty medication, but some people seem to swear by it. It feels like a lame cross between zolpidem or any other Z-drug and a different boring benzo like Librium.

i think clonazepam 1.5 mg blows. i prefer valium over xanax, ancd i figured clonazepam would be a medium and boy was i wrong. theres no euphoria, hoever it DOES EASE ANXIETY. i would give this less recreational value than valium(by far) thank gof i had some etizolam to take whne the kpin buzz faded. it was the perfect launchpad to eat some cubensis.

Lorazepam is longer acting than Alprazolam, not shorter acting. Alprazolam is stronger mg for mg, but not longer acting by any means.

if you're looking for euphoria, then benzo's are going to likely dissapoint and bore you. IMO, benzo's are really only good for what they are intended, relieving anxiety and chilling you the fuck out. If, like me, you actually have anxiety disorders, than you might find benzodiazepines to be recreational as they will surely loosen your inhibitions and make you feel chilled out, but they will not give you an out of this world feeling of bliss like opiates will, or at least that's my Oppinion.
