Well, this isn't going well haha. Damn you old Detroit producers & your tracks that don't beatgrid nicely!!!! Trainwreck city.

hahaha, Pierre's a cunt for that pitchshifting, it's hard to use Traktor with some tracks that grid well, and others that don't.....it's the only advantage of running vdj instead, i can just jog it into time all the time....

I don't like Chris Hansen at all, wouldn't surprise me if he has some skeletons in his cupboard! He seems to relish the control aspect...

You might have missed it when I posted it earlier. If you don't like Chris Hansen you'll like this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDqZc6rY6Is

After my talk of not being able to beatmatch earlier I ended up sacking the sync button after a while & just doing it by ear (as you'll be able to hear). Although I'm shit at it, I have done it in the past (looooong ago) so I'm not 100& clueless at beatmatching, still terrible at it though.

These tracks were murder to mix, made before the days of Traktor & sync buttons, done with samples of real drummers etc instead of perfectly on time computerised shit. Almost all the more up to date techno & house stuff I have is a piece of piss to get in time compared to these.

Add to that the fact that this isn't the style of music I listen to all the time (well, not all of it) & that I don't know a lot of the tracks very well, at least not where the vocals come in, hi-hats drop out etc.

Here it is anyway. Trainwreck mix. It's fucking shit. I'm gonna go for a joint then record some deep house to make me feel better lol.

It won't be up for long, can't be letting cunts hear that haha.

That sounds sublime. :)

From reading Burroughs, those embers used to be referred to as 'yen pox' and would indeed be washed down with a cup of tea / coffee in times of need.

Alternatively, send them all to Sammy G., c/o EADD, Bluelight.

Good Jeff Mills track an all ;)

And let's not forget it was Quasimodo's best chat-up line too.

Re bells of various kinds: JM Damn straight.... I love his work. Mixes beautifully into Dave Clarke Red 2 if I remember right, which I probably don't.

Is it actually a good Lou Reed album? I don't think I've ever heard it which is a bit of a glaring omission.

I seem to fancy the pants off Belinda Carlisle today, curious.

Mills lovers... I have probably posted this (Purpose Maker Mix (Complete)) before, but it's really really good and worth a watch / listen. Can't believe I've not seen the fucker live yet, going to have to get on that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUgwa5sJRKs

Get out!

Yeah, it's a good album. Underrated, understated. There's also a great / awful tune called 'Disco Mystic', which is enough for you to run out and buy it right now.

<scrambles for youtube>

I've got that horrible one with him playing a video game on the cover, it's fucking atrocious, what's it called again?
