The downside of the real ale explosion is that 9/10 of the places selling it don't know how to keep a cellar. It's made me very ill indeed in the past. There are some establishments peddling stuff that's turned to vinegar and yet you see people lapping it up.

It's the tempos that I'm having issues with more than anything else, they're either nice rolling techno at like 120bpm or absolute thundering at 132bpm lol.

I think I need to step my knowledge of old school techno up before I can make a decent mix like this. Gonna give it a go shortly anyway. If it sounds pish then at least I'll learn from the pishness.

Some SLAM might be a nice bridge between them, something like Dark Forces. Although their shit's always way faster than I remember it being at the time, probably because most of the rest of the music I listened to around that time was 140bpm+ and now makes me feel slightly sick.

Edit - Jancrow, you probably remember a totally different sounding Slam to me. Most of my slam tracks are 124-128bpm lol. They don't really bang out the mad hard, fast stuff these days
