To be fair a £70 Ebay smartphone contraption on PAYG, cuz that's the way I roll;)

No Fruity devices here, never ever.

It's useful for getting email and has a good MP3 player, but mines next to useless for surfing in all but an emergency like the other day I needed to work out a tube journey.

No way I would pay £30 a month for one or buy one at £400, total waste of cash for me
 
I'm on my first (inherited) laptop and my first (inherited) mp3 player. All my phones prior to the last two were hand-me-downs from upgrading folk; thus I'm at a lower spec now phone-wise than I was in 2005. Or on a par, possibly.

A smartphone would be a bridge too far to say the least.
 
It's the safest way to BL in the bath, and on the toilet, and in the garden, and walking down the street. Actually you've got a point.

I've got a decent, fairly current HTC phone running Android. Costs me about £18 a month, never a penny more, unless I'm abroad, & that also includes a shiny new one if I smash it up. I don't use much of the "smart-phone" features, other than Facebook but that's just to keep up with what's happening when I'm out, mainly so I can send a "The after-party's at X address" APB out at 4am without having to phone everyone that might possibly be out. Or so I can receive a similar message from other people.

Google maps occasionally comes in handy an all. Helped me direct my mate to my weed dealer on Saturday lol.

The MP3 player is decent enough for the walk home if I've not got an iPod out with me.

I still quite fancy having an old shiter phone though, one that's really small & can easily bounce out a window without breaking, but I reckon I'd really miss the very few smart-phone features that I do use.

On the subject of smart phones, I don't have one. I don't even have a usable phone at the moment because it stopped working. Next month it's my birthday so I'm going to use any cash I get to buy a smart phone, have saw a Samsung Galaxy Y, brand new, for £75 which seems like a good deal. It's probably about 2 years old but the reviews are all decent and even if it's really slow compared to new smart phones I won't know any difference because my last phone was an old unsmart as fuck Nokia.

When I'm here I probably won't use it for anything other than standard phone and texting but when I'm travelling it'll come in handy for the maps, language translator, currency exchange, wifi access etc.

Yeah, I anticipate a noddy morning and Im due in work. And I still have no speed due to a fiasco.

On the other hand I do have a bit of *cough* mephedrone lying around, though I think strong tea and fortitude is the path of the wise. Not that I'd lay claim to knowing much about said path.
 
Aye, well I've been banking on the speed, which I got messed about with, so I had to make desperate contingency plans. And while I've actually rekindled a fondness for meph, I don't want to go fiending, despite the temptation.

I suppose 99% of the time I'm a 'reponsible', functional stim user. Boring? Maybe. Healthier for body and mind? Definitely.

It's not something that happened overnight though, as I'm sure you'll be able to identify with.
