Still no fecking broadband. Paid £45 on BT FON the last three weeks, and it's not worth £1.

I'll play frisbee with you Cornish.

Bloody students, what fucking time do you call this, it's not as fuckin hotel you know=D

Got my replacement microswitch for my mouse today and a bit of soldering later, it's like brand new. Glad, because the mouse cost me about £60.

I know this is utterly boring but I had to tell someone. I'm excited. I've been living with a substandard mouse for a month.

She's a beauty though! :D

Mmmm looks a good'un, I recently purchased a wireless HP mouse just to use with a laptop but it's utter shite, it constantly changes in sensitivity meaning I have to keep fiddling with the settings. I've given up on it and gone back to a wired one, normally I use a Logitech Marble at a desk as I get a bit of RSI in my right hand but you can't get a wireless version.

Joey Essex in town tonight... lol. someone should go and slap the "reem" out of that fucking ponce

It's a Logitech Anywhere VX. It's the best mouse I've ever touched. You can use it on just about any surface including glass. The wireless dongle is tiny and stores inside for carrying. The wheel can be set to either free-spinning or ratcheted - I can scroll half way down a long document with one flick. It takes normal AA batteries and comes in a smart faux-leather pouch. It has a bit of weight and feels solid. It's comfortable to hold and is pretty much symmetrical so could be used left-handed happily. It's also very precise. I don't really have a bad thing to say about it! Except the price, and the fact the left button microswitch went bad, although that took a couple of years. I could probably have got it fixed under warranty but I can't be bothered sending it away. New microswitch cost about 60p, I got four.

I had two and lost one :| I believe some fucker at Sky will have it.

I used to have a Logitech trackball but I couldn't get used it at all. Didn't try very hard though. Did it take you a while to get used to it?

How is my upload faster than my download?

Are you sharing the connection? That can't be right.

^^ mine, and I do believe I'm capped around this time of night, it should pick up after 12

Alby, look at you router settings and firewall, that's not right, and it's probably due to your end I wouldve thought. you're on adsl? I dunno much about that, cable/adsl work a little differently routerwise i think

my current mouse ...

(it's wireless) and I bought about 4 of em @ £7 each (when they were selling for £30 a piece) to use around the house. ace mice. works on most surfaces including jama clad thighs, towels and sofas and loadsa things. bluetrack and low on battery useage

Albion, that's a load of pony matey, cable or ADSL ? I've had problems with my cable when I had too much signal, an attenuator sorted it but it took them 3 visits to work that out.

I got used to the marble pretty quick but at the time I switched to one for work I had such bad pain in the hand that I had no choice, I really like them now and they save on desk space as you don't have to move them. I hate touch pads on laptops but the marble is a bit bulky and not so portable as the marble tends to fall out and once damaged ruins the feel.

I'll have to have another look to see if there is a better wireless option for the latops.

Mine....since we're sizing:-
