2012 - 2013 Football Thread

Slow static passing in the first half, much improved in the second. Terrible dive from welbeck.

New signing butner, he was 3rd choice at some random dutch club and for £3.9m thats a steal, skinned 3 players and scored and looked lively all game, bit rash at times.

Fukin amazing game i thought . I saw a few of your mob taken off by the filth not you i hope . The away support was good & they did the club proud none of the nonsense that happens at Ewood . Shows that the real fans are decent .
I thought Rhodes & Gomez were a cut above Gomez for his age still has the touch & class a very good signing hewill help Rhodes who looks to have big future . I thought 8 mili for him was a tad much but he may score the goals that gets you lot back up .

At 3-3 i was buzzing =D Baldocks goal was class he will be one of the signings of the season . The ref was a prick & he missed the blatant hand ball when Scott Dann scored i saw it clear as day . He let Dann off for loads of fowls .
The defending for both teams was not the best to be kind .

I have some good pics of your mob warming up . Murphy , Gomez , i'll put them up when i get the mem. stick of my pal. It was a great game though the best of the day i say .

It's proper isn't it , very loud at the away end . A old skool proper footy ground like you said . It's always good when the away mob come with a full allocation makes the whole game much better . It's better than many of the shite new Prem grounds like Reading for instanance . Their is no soul . Sheff Weds always bring a big mob & they are good fans . Just cos a club is in the Prem doesn't make them a Big club . Their are huge clubs in the Championship with much History & big away support.
I was at Old Trafford last year when they played & nearly lost to Basle & the Swiss mob were shaming the Mancs.

We have Millwall & Leeds coming up i hope to make one of those fixtures.
Shame i couldn't meet up but i had already made plans another time if you want ?

Had to give up a hard-won ticket to the Pool v Man U match this afternoon - gutted doesn't cover it really.

While obviously hoping for a 'pool victory I'd trade that for the scenario that no vile Hillsborough / Munich songs are aired on this particular occasion (never again ideally, but at least for today eh)
 
Probably cos I have RVP in my fantasy football, but Utd are shocking. Nani, Giggs, Evra and Ferdinand should retire along with Bacon Face after this game.

Edit: Halsey just sent off Smeagol for Livepool. Yellow card at the most. That's evened up the numbers considering how bad Nani is.

Edit: Hahaha Shelvey just had a go at Bacon Face pointing fingers at him going off the pitch!!

Same. I've been to a lot of football grounds and although the new ones look impressive, there's no atmosphere. It's hard to determine where the yobbo element are with halfhearted chanting from random places.

A football ground needs four distinct stands with a bit of character and a proper away end. Having said that, one of our stands known as the cow shed, has been condemned but we can't afford a new one so it it's been empty for several seasons now.

We need Sir Elton to buy us a new one :)

He's gone. How long will it take to get the Venkys out though? They seem a stubborn lot. Looks like Timmy Sherwood 5/4 fav. Just the man to take over from Steve Kean - someone with even less managerial ability. Don't get that one at all.


Away to Man U today for the annual Spurs raping by Howard Webb or whoever else bacon face has brought in to laugh at AVB. Not looking forward to this one although Dembele already gave Utds pensioners in midfield a torrid time recently.

Delighted to be proved wrong but I'm far from convinced by him. Utd will lose a few games at home this year. But I take all my ht QPR AVB hate back. Growing a funky beard tomorrow. We deserved that win today and not just for the injustice we've had up there. Brilliant performance. Second time in a matter of weeks Dembele's caused them serious grief. What a result.

Not being able to defend or pass a football also denies you winning. He's actually lost his marbles.
