Opioids can you mix vyvanse with fentanyl patchs?

I have a friend prescribed 70mg a day vyvanse and put on fentanyol patch for recreational, wondering if friend should take normal dose of vyvanse at normal time? Getting confused with info on net, hoping someone can help. Has anyone had any or negative interactions? Should my friend skip the vyvanse? My friend is dependent on vyvanse and suffers withdrawal effects if not taken, however I don't want my friend to die, what to do??

Yes i take and have taken all sorts of amphetamine plus opiod combos and doses before including vyvanse and fent .... be aware of the masking of the upper over the painkiller and not end up taking too much painkiller... the same way as a speedball od would go.... but the friend should be ok if they just take their rxed dose and dont abuse their vyvanse anyway it wont be likely the stimulant will mask much in that case.... i take rxed 80mg dextrostat a day plus 16mg bupe (plus valium and sonata) so its kinda like i do it everyday.... im not suggesting its ok, def be careful with fentanyl.... ooo i just read he put on A patch, that likely won't be very recreational idk i always chopped it into 20 pieces and ate 200mcgs worth (measured out by the eye lol)... fentanyl is fuckin potent shit.... slappin on a patch maybe with no tolerance will cause a long 2-3 Day mild buzz after 12 hours or so of being on the skin first idk never did it that way....
 
Thanks so much for your quick response!! My friend has taken fentanyl before but never with vyvanse. Somewhat recently prescribed, I know he is being truthful that its not being abused and only taken as prescibed but does get speedy effects from it. (unlike last time it was prescribed it had speed like effects and then after taking it for so many years, felt absolutely nothing so got off, now been back on for about 3months or so) he has normal or low tolerance for fent since it is very rarely used. He cuts 50mcg patch in half and that lasts great, pretty strong for two days never anything for third day, but nothing stopping him from doing anything on first two days, (if anything he does more, cleaning, extra interactive and more playful, very active, likes hiking, etc). So assuming with your response he should probably be okay to take med at normal time, just wanted to give you all details in case I missed something. (i took an ambien that I'm prescribed, and still can't sleep so my brain is not exactly all here so please excuse me). Thanks so much!
 
To clarify do you think 50 cut in half (around 25 didn't really eyeball it though just cuts),for someone that does it once every couple months at most and also what do you mean by masking, he wouldn't feel the fent as much?
 
Please refrain from using SWIM/my friend/my pet etc, not only does it not protect you from incrimination, it's a violation of the forum guidelines.

Opioids and amphetamines are fine to mix if taken as directed by your prescribing physician.

How experienced are you with fentanyl though? You're aware that fentanyl takes about 13 hours to kick in, by which time 13 hours worth of fentanyl has built up in your skin?
 
by masking i meant one drug hiding the others effects.... and to the op no prob i was quick lol its the speed haha.... yeah though i dont remember but i was taking the 10mg (100mcg per hour dose right?) patches and cutting them into equal pieces and my friends and I got high off 2 pieces... so whatever math I did in the dark car that night and then on in the future was a great eyeball on my part.... could have turned out to be a disaster or nothing at all... we just ate the pieces after chewing and sucking on them for an hr before swallowing..... no gel in those ones....
 
I'm sorry I enjoy this site and am not trying to break the rules, how come you are not allowed to get advice for a friend? I'm assuming you can only ask personal advice? I'm gonna read the faqs again, I didnt read it throughly and am somewhat new to site. I know he is aware of how long it takes because he always does it at night so by morning it kicks in and assuming because he knows it lasts two days he has experience with it. He very seldom does it.

Tricomb I tried to message you back private but it said once every 180 min I can send a message so I'm definitely going to be reading up on the faqs I have got to get some sleep, I have to be up in 2 hrs but to answer you question yes, he done it successfully before more than twice to my knowledge.

I am on 100mcg Fentanyl patch and Methylphenidate (ritalin). I realize that the two drugs aren't the same, and I have never taken Vyvanse. I also had been taking Methylphenidate for years before being prescribed Fentanyl.
 
As long as you are taking prudent doses of both substances you should be fine. I didn't read the whole post, but I believe you said that you were prescribed? If you are prescribed you really should have nothing to worry about. As long as you're doses are good, it's not dangerous. I've used opiates and amphetamines together many, many times. They are a great combo.

Just be careful though. Judgement tends to go out the window when high on amphetamines. This can lead you to rationalize taking higher and higher doses of one or both drugs, thinking you're just not high enough. Use good judgement and you'll be fine. There are no serious counterindications here
