Guys texting girls creepy/sexual/crude things

I think girls kind of accept that men are gross pieces of horny meat, so it really is more of a compliment than anything else. Obviously if a guy has no chance with the girl she'll not be amused by it, but it's better than pretending you're trying to relate to her on any human level when you just want smoosh smoosh.
 
I am curious why people seem to be bothered by this. Like if, say, a girl you know gets sex texts from guys and doesn't get mad a them or completely ignore them, why does that bother some people so much? The only situations I could think of where someone could have an opinion or dislike of that without being purely judgmental were if you are a man and sometimes send flirtatious texts to women, and would prefer if they didn't play along or be polite if they were in reality uninterested, or if you have a girlfriend who gets these kind of texts from other guys and it upsets you or makes you jealous that she appears to you to be ok with it or isn't handling it in the way you would like. Otherwise, why do people care what other people text to each other and how they respond to it? (I am not just asking rhetorically, I'd actually like to know).
 
Because deep down inside every girl/woman secretly loves drama?

...not that I believe that, but sometimes it feels that way.

Some people just like to gossip about salacious things. I often think such gossiping is about projecting one's own personal morality and/or comparing that sense of personal morallty with others.

Many of the social games we play are about trying to learn the lay of the land. This thread is a wonderful example of that.

It makes me worry about my sister or girlfriend in the way that they respond to people who are creeping on them.
