^ Asclepius--YES! YES! YES! KATIE! She is amazing all around. I feel the same way about my country as you probably do about yours but the Olympics has this bizarre way of paradoxically emphasizing nationality and completely uniting us regardless of our stupid governments nonetheless.

Herb <3 Am actually not a major sports fan but I appreciate its healthy function as I got older.
Patriotism is one thing, Feminism is another but they are not as important as the person/essence who is celebrating their well deserved victory despite the bad conditions she had to train under and the obstacles she came up against, sure their are a lot like her in all walks of life, of a different race/sex/nationality and circumstance celebrating small/large victories and its great to be party to that victory on any level. Its a symbol of universal victory. This just happened to come into my subjective consciousness by a mixture of chance and need. Am grateful for that;) :D

@Asclepius--I know what you mean, I think. It is the absolute thrill of watching the elation that happens when a person has worked so hard for so long, pushing herself (or himself) beyond what most of us could ever even imagine, usually in obscurity outside of the sports world, suddenly realizing her dream. Really for me it comes down to simple amazement that bodies can do what they do. Today I watched the womens gymnastic routines with a ball. It was so amazing on every level that it was surreal. Meanwhile I have made it my mission, humble as it may be, to once again do a perfect cartwheel like I could as a girl. =D Expect photo updates.

ive never been better. I have moved to hollywood and have become a scientologist, which is really amazing. I plan on opening a restaurant in the next few months. Sober for about 6 months. Dealing with the Hep-C. Lifes good.
 
Good for you man!!! So pleased to hear sober life is treating you well <3 I was in LA a few weeks ago actually :)

My two friends from England who i met in Germany.
I'm in the middle!
The one on the right, bL name psychedanic , was with me for about 10 days straight.. It wasn't until our very last night together when we realized that we had been socializing via bluelight on & off way before the trip. Such a spin out!
In the Electronic music discussion we even planned to search for each other at the festivals.

Oh and Stardust- yes, it was beautiful at the Cliffs....Tear jerkingly beautiful. <3 I think Everyone should go there.
Though there was a little bit of sad stuff there....I haven't looked at statistics or anything but there was a phone with numbers to call if you were thinking about jumping and a few signs as well. I took one of a "Need to Talk?" sign next to a sign with someone jumping :(

That's soooo awesome that you met psychedanic without even knowing it. Sounds like you were meant to meet each other for sure. :) I love how all of us Bluelighters are connected. We have such a great family here. <3

You're one of the strongest people I know :(. That must have been a very unique moment on top of the cliffs. <3<3<3<3 I'm so happy you got to experience that awesome trip. So very needed for you and your momma.
