awesome, what sort of tank? used to be really into millitary stuff, war history, find it facinating, these days i just see war as a pointless load of horrific shit based around money, power and suffering, the equipment is fascinating though. read loads of books on snipers and apache helicopters n stuff
 
Yeah I was vaguely aware you had a history as a soldier, MOP. Would love to know more about that side of you, like Dan. Basically for the same reasons as well. I think the recent wars (well, all wars) were/are huge miscarriages of justice and judgement...

Bonnet doesn't really shut properly now, catch engages about 1 time every 20 attempts....I've got water in there, just got to go get some oil now, theres about 1mm showing at the bottom of the dipstick :(

I hate wars too as you well know :)

But....

I drove a centurion AVRE and a Chieftain bridge layer. Also drove a Spartan and an AFV 432.

Look them up Dan. Old school machines :)
 
I'm surprised Mr Monkey isn't good at fixing cars, he seems to be handy with other things, like plants and posts and irrigation butts and drugs and cooking and fishing and lurv :D

No, that was my last car :)

it seems fine, I walked down the garage and got skanked for 20 quid for 5 litres of oil, the cheapest generic oil they had, lol, engine took it all.

I got the lid up and down okay, have to use a cunningly attached cable tie to get one of the catches open, but it is safe when its down.

there's quite a lot of cable tie work gone on with my car this last 12 months, they're fucking great, as good as bolts, not sure the MOT inspector will see it that way in a couple of months.

thanks for that Kate :D While I excel at putting paper in slots, I am SHITE at mechanical work, DIY, technical little tasks, plumbing, electrical stuff....absolutely shite.....

Yea, I served in the first Gulf War and I'm happy we did everything that we were allowed by international law to do.

The latest wars however were disgusting.

I'm very anti-war now, I don't regret anything I've seen or done as it has by experience made me the person I am now.

I'm very proud of my service, I just wish the people who give the orders were worthy of having us at their command.
 
Feel absolutely shit today, just been laying in bed watching the fresh prince of bel air all day, mainly because I can't be fucked to get out of bed, not even to change the channel. I should really not have taken so many stims and for like a whole week, it was stupid. I guess I knew a comedown was inevitable but really didn't want it to happen. Got 10 days to sort myself out and feel fresh again before going up to edinburgh and belfast. I'm glad I'm not due to leave tomorrow as I probably would end up not going, stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid mugz :(:(
 
Everyone told you it was a bad idea Mugz. Stop moping around your room and get out of bed, when was the last time you went out?
 
yeah you told me yesterday you were going for a walk in the fresh air after a shower.

I used to lay the Girls Worlds head on my pillow and lay under it when I went to sleep so if the child catcher came (or any of the other villains in my horrofic repertoire of childhood villains*) They would just grab the girls world head.

Haha maybe you're right ;)

Stuff is stoned and lazy here, retired to bed with the laptop because being upright is too much effort. 3 glasses is definitely cheap date material, it's more like two bottles for me these days 8(
