^Love me some of Founder's Double Trouble and now have a craving for it so thanks

Not sure where you are from but we had Bells Hopslam in the area for a while. I would consider it very similar to Hopslam in the "surprise" aspect.

You drink about 3 and find yourself %)

The difference is that Hopslam is sweeter while Double Trouble is a little more hoppy/bitter. Both are smooth and taste great.

It is going to be 80+ degrees here all weekend and I am sure I will be enjoying a few other IPAs along the way. Double IPA may be a little too much so I may just stick with a light IPA. A locally canned IPA is great for poolside drinking.

No need for beer goggles but the beer makes it that much better.

were all still drinking beer right? lol. recently tried Flying Dog's Pearl Necklace Oyster Stout and it was pretty damn good.

Also tried Red Hook and it was meh....

I will get the name of it tonight but someone recently bought me a 6 pack of gluten free beer and it was actually pretty delicious. I don't have any issues with wheat but it was still interesting to try.

I was out at Lake George on a motorcycle trip last weekend and I tried this.

It was a darker ale and had a ton of flavor.

Lol for some reason a couple of my friends (myself included) have been on a Busch kick lately. Don't get me wrong I still prefer better beers but hard times are upon me and I can't beat the price, and for that price good ole Busch seems the best option. Man, I can't remember the last time I had a good beer. Well, I can but it was a while ago and I don't remember which ones they were.

Oh I can befriend any type of alcohol. The only ones I won't touch are flavored beers (pumpkin especially, yuck), most weis beers, and gin.

Now don't get me wrong, in no way shape or form would I chose Busch over a better beer if I had the means, but when money linits me to a blue and silver can, Busch seems to be the best option.

OMG pumpkin beers are amazing! Other fruit flavors are delicious too depending on the brewing company. Opa Opa makes a really good blueberry beer. Shipyard makes a really neat apple beer.

I have just discovered Jack Daniels Honey and diet coke, I drank a liter over a couple of nights (that surprised even me). It's on the sweeter side but it's soooo good. I could easily sip it all on its own.

I Shock Top. The seasonal lemon shandy is really good but I have to say that Shock Top Raspberry Wheat is my favorite beer. I haven't tried THAT many beers but I love shock top. It's definitely my favorite beer at this point. I will say that I'm not even 21 yet and have many,many years to try new beers.

Now don't get me wrong, in no way shape or form would I chose Busch over a better beer if I had the means, but when money linits me to a blue and silver can, Busch seems to be the best option.

as far as this goes-and this guy may be wrong, but I was in the grocery store the other day looking at beer with a buddy of mine and this guy and his wife come up to us. The guy tells us that Busch=Coors, that the beer is the same in both. May be total bullshit but I thought I'd throw that in there.

I'm not a huge fan of shock top, that lemon shandy beer you mentioned sounds interesting though, I'll have to try it. I didn't like shock tops pumpkin seasonal, it was too much wheat and not enough pumpkin.

All of those mainline beers taste the same, imo. There isn't body or good flavor, just "pee colored alcohol" lol

I just had some Sierra Nevada Torpedo extra IPA. It's a pretty strong IPA to begin with, but the aftertaste is light and smooth so you aren't left with the dry palate most IPAs leave you with. I had told my friend to get their IPA but I guess he didn't read the 'extra' on the bottle so I was expecting it to be a bit harsh, but I was pleasantly surprised.

This needs to be brought back to life.

I've had their IPA which was good. I had it with some good BBQ food (pulled pork sandwich and BBQ beef brisket with sides of corn on the cob, baked beans, and cole slaw) which made it all the more enjoyable.

The only pumpkin ale I had was from Saranac brewing company, which actually isn't that far from Lake Placid. It was alright, but I made the mistake of buying a few 6 packs of it since it was the weekend and time to get drunk. After finishing the second beer I realized I had made a mistake, so became very generous with my beer that day. I think still ended up drinking 8 of the 12, but it was a mission.

I was out one night and a few of us were drinking Redbridge because all the other beers on the menu sucked and we'd never heard of this one. It wasn't bad and I din't even realize it was gluten free until I rechecked the menu for something else.

Busch is made by Anhueiser-Busch (sp?) the same company that makes Budweiser so it is kind of a crappy cheap version of their beer, Coors is a completely different brewing company. Coors also makes Keystone, and yes the two are similar (although still slightly different) so that's probably what the dude in the store was thinking about. Realistically any of the cheap mainstream American brews are all similar and honestly not too exciting at all (especially the ones in blue and silver cans, I have to agree with what others have said and call it "pee" albeit pee that if drank enough can get you drunk). That's the difference, you don't buy the stuff if you're trying to enjoy the flavor. It's good for if you're doing yardwork and you're just trying to pound cheap beer because you're broke, it goes down easy if it's really cold and you're thirsty.

From the age of 12/13 to the age of 19/20 I drank MHL almost religiously. I've still got a soft spot for it if someone's got some I will always take them up on it, but rarely buy it at this point.

YES! i fuckin love torpedos, probably my favorite Sierra Nevada ale. Speaking of california microbreweries, I've been drinking a lot of Lagunitas lately. I'm not sure how available it is outside of CA but their IPA and Hop Stoopid Ale are both amazing.

I'm a huge IPA fan and I also just got Deschutes brewery's Inversion Ale. It's a great IPA, fine balance between malts and Piney hoppiness/bitterness. Also EVERYBODY that loves good beer, espeically IPAS needs to check out Bear Republic Brewery. West Coast knows whats good %)
