Some things never change ;) Think I've got that cold too!

You know me far too well Knock ;)
I've not really popped on here much since being in Leeds. Need to catch up with what bi agwaan :)
Yea it's shit! Tickly cough, streaming nose and general "Bleh" feeling. Waking up with a colossal hangover-headache didn't help either :|

ColtDan - I've never had it but I've heard naught but good things about it in a Nootropic sense.
Have a read :)

anyone bother with piracetam? felt pretty dull yesterday, think its to do with the booze and 6-apb, took some piracetam for the first time in ages last night n woke up feeling sharp n positive, and have been all day

I know Marmalade was bang into it for a while at least. Can't recall her ever saying anything bad about it.

Tried it for a while years ago, did it for a couple of weeks and noticed no difference in concentration, mood or focus. Waste of money for me. Took that and chloline I think it was, bogging tasting stuff.

Pretty good day, nice n smooth, day booked off work tomorrow as well =D might have an etiz or some vallies and chill tonight, tunes on

Yeah i've just started experimenting with it recently. Also feeling sharper and much more energetic. (i had 1 with breakfast with a choline tab too and another with lunch - ive finally recovered from the stim all nighter i did on friday - saturday, which left me wiped out for 2 days) Pretty much wasted my 4 days off apart from today, when ive finally cleared the huge backlog of washing up.

Got a wheelie bin crawling with maggots thanks to a dead pigeon, which i had been trying to nurse back to life, after it became trapped in my chimney. Despite its improving condition I assume it eventually got attacked by a cat as i woke one morning to find my backyard full of feathers with a dead pigeon rammed against the wall.

I need to try to get a load of poppys ground down now for the rest of the week. Will probably end up just doing enough grinds for tomorrow, as back to work.

Who to believe? Spade or mdb? Decisions decisions!

I don't lie. Not saying Spade does either. Maybe it just doesnt work for everyone. It has DEFINATELY worked for me today BIG TIME. (as could be seen from all my posts today if anyones remotely interested, plus all the domestic shit ive got on top of)

Wow... I have had a bad back for over 2 years now. Had an MRI scan a few weeks ago. Got results from the doctor back...

Turns out I have a tumor on my spine :/ which they THINK is benign. I need more tests though. And will likely be referred to a specialist at Cambridge apparently. Oh joy.

I know someone who just had an operation on the brain as it was the tumor there that had caused his back pain for the last 5 years.
He still can't walk 3 weeks after the operation.

I think I should have an mri done to lol. (had an undiagnosed back problem for over 10 years and for the last year of chiro it hasn't improved much bar emptying me wallet)

True, you've been banging away like never before! OK that evidence speaks for itself, I'll try and get hold of some.

@tangerine dream - must be frightening, but if it was me I'd be telling myself that a tumour that lasts for two years without killing me or getting significantly worse must be benign! Not that I know, but I'd be telling myself that ;)

It's good that at least they think its benign. Must obviously still be extremely worrying for you though. Best wishes that everything turns out to be OK.

That Piracetam is actually making me feel too hyper now. Dont really like it tbh. Hoping the poppy pod tea kicks in soon to chill me out. It probably will do after i have my evening meal, or will have to take extra Etizolams tonight....

Cheers guys.

Yeah tis a rather strange feeling to be honest. Not sure it has sank in fully yet either. On the one hand there is a possible solution to the severe pain I have had on and off over the years. On the other hand it could be cancer (although its roughly 85% likely it isn't.) The spine seems like a fairly fragile place to operate regardless. Just got to wait and see I guess.

Maybe I will get some paid time off work and decent painkillers ;) In all seriousness though, it's all a bit shite! I am only 25. I have a contrast scan booked at the hospital for late august and will likely know more soon after that.

All the best, man. It's no age to be worrying about anything other than sexually-transmitted infections.

With any luck you'll be back brighter in no time. :)

Much love to you TD <3

I fucking hope they're right and that it is benign my friend. I wanted to go on about my Grandfather but there's likely no benefit in me doing so.

Just keep yer mind positive man :) I don't believe in the "good things happen to good people" stuff, but if I did I'd be spouting it to you in every manner.
Keep us informed man <3

I used Gimp, the open source graphics package.

In Gimp, when you create an animated gif you make a layer for each frame in the animation.

I opened up my old static avatar and added a layer "from selection" so the new layer had the contents of the old layer. In other words, two identical frames.

I modified the second frame to have green eyes.

An animated gif allows each frame to have it's own duration, this is held in the comments field of each frame as a millisecond value in brackets. I set a comment in frame 1 (layer 1): "Frame 1 (12000ms)" and in frame 2 (layer 2): "Frame 2 (1000ms)".

I then used the Optimise for Animation filter, which stripped out all the unchanged content from the second frame, to save file size. (when you do this it will actually open up the optimised gif as a new image file in gimp).

Then saved as gif.

I used this tutorial to get started. Much of that tutorial can be skipped for such a simple animation as it covers blends and stuff.

I'd be interested to hear from the CS5 crew how CS5 makes this process easier. It probably doesn't shoehorn frames into layers like this? Although I don't really mind that.

Was debating trying it meself cos am a massive spang when it comes to concentration, will try owt atm.

Sorry to hear about back woes, Tangerine, hope it's just summat (relatively) harmless and the resulting ops/whatever don't fuck ya up too much. Decent painkillers wouldn't be bad tho, bilk em for what ya can ;) Best wishes tho mate.
