That grumpy old woman's cousin sounds like she died from butane or computer duster. Many mistakenly think it's N2O. Assuming that it's not astroturf.

Hahaha 'Hippy-Crack' wtf even is that? Why not just call it nitrous, or even a name that exists.
Don't know about Scotland but in the USA some do call it hippy crack due to it's psychedelic but compulsive and short lived effects.

I've read that supplying the N2O without some concentration of O2 is dangerous. I don't remember how but I remember that many of these side-effects could be eliminated by adding O2 to the mix.
I think with pure nitrous from a tank is used it's mixed with at least 20%, usually 50-70%. When the doc/dentist turns it off they give the patient pure oxygen. This is because with the prolong periods of use in anesthesia the nitrous can build up in the blood, body and cavities in the body. It then can come out of the lungs, displacing oxygen just long enough to kill you.

The problems they are speaking of come DIRECTLY from people not breathing oxygen with their nitrous. Nitrous sort of confuses the brain into thinking that the nitrous you are breathing is oxygen so your body never really sends that signal 'breathe mofo! You are about to pass out!"
Kids listen to Ew420, he/she speaks the truth! After all he/she is a doctor

Hyperventilating your nitrous is also fucking stupid.
Only noobs do that, I hold that shit in. Not too long, but as long as I can comfortably hold my breath with my lungs empty. And I take a breather in between hits.
The notion that you can OD on nitrous is laughable, considering that many others and I have filled our lungs up with supposedly pure N2O. The only deaths come from people who are stupid or suicidal inhaling pure N2O from a tank with no oxygen, filling a car or inclosed space with N2O, putting a bag over their head with N2O, or using impure nitrous from either car tank or poorly home made shit. However it should be used in moderation. The B12 depletion is pretty much unavoidable with prolonged use, and it's bad when it happens. Oral/sublingual b12 won't work, for it requires a factor in the gut to get absorbed. IM or IN B12 might work but if you're currently using N2O it might oxidize the new B12. Sometimes B12 shots are given by some doctors for it's supposed health benefits in healthy people, wouldn't be too weird to get one. Methionine or maybe even SAMe might help too.
And besides astroturfing posts, I believe this so-called "journalist" is a hack. One who does low-quality stories, often hit pieces for hire. The style of journalism in this story is known as yellow journalism, low-quality sensationalist stories.
