Manchester!!!

Yeah, Levy looks beautiful on acid. I remember one morning in particular that was pretty fucking special.

Haha I get a fair bit of abuse when I say im from manchester, say when im at festival in far away lands. "where you from?" "erm manchester", im actually from stockport, but when i say stockport people just give me a blank look so its easier to say manchester, but round these ends its from stockport, some lads from hulme of all places started having a go, "Your bloody postcode starts with SK you faker". :(

Going to be out with a friend around Manchester centre tomorrow night for the first time in what seems like eon's...... 8(

looking for somewhere non-mainstream with a good crowd , good dance music of any form ( well aprt from psy-trance :X:p ) ?

Any recommendations most welcome! <3

Hmm depends what music really, theres the well known sankeys, I think its AN21 & Max Vangeli playing.. hour long set from them here.

A good small little club is joshua brooks, its undearneath a bar, very small place think its a Grey Matter basement party, v cheap to go in and always a good crowd, like I said though it is very small.

Road house also? For a bit of techno will be a good crowd.. line up Perc.

Just checked out Joshua Brooks' lineups and I see Kerri Chandler's playing in August.... me getting some of that!

No. sankeys won in the end!

Mate bailed in a pub earlier ( lightweight ) but i though " fuck it " and caught a taxi there on my own!

Good atmosphere , a little quiet up till when i left but like what i saw! got chatting to loads of randoms , good crowd who know how to party!

Anyone know when the full lineups for WHP are due to be announced?

Also good to hear joshua brooks is a good little venue am heading there next month for an old skool night!! Another place i love is sound control, heading there for tangleds 19th birthday in sept, cant wait for that beauty!!

Yeah dam I completley forgot about sound control, thats another good venue bigger than joshua brooks, I always seem to get lost in Sound control though... I remember going probally a year ago and we went outside onto that smoking area "metal stairs like hanging off the side of a building?" anyway we kept on walking up and we ended up like on the roof of sound control pretty much untill we decided probally wasnt a good idea in such a ketted state and some bouncers just looking at us like how the fuck you get up there? Think I might have to check out that old skool night at JB
 
You ended up on the roof of sound control??? The smoking areas a proper hellish bottleneck when it wants to be!

Should be a good night at JB, am hoping that it wont be the same old tunes that get played as they had some decent dj's in teh past like Mark Archer & Jay Wearden a couple of times!!

Never actually seen the smoking are at Sound Control, i'll have to keep eye out, not smoking doesnt help tho lol. Tangleds birthday should be wicked, 3 floors of diff styles, breaks & 140 in teh basement, tech in the bar and bit of prog with Cataneao in the loft!!

I've just got a new flat in fallowfield, used to live in didsbury but due to expenses and such I've relocated. Going to have a massive candyflip binge once I move back properly next month if I find any decent nights to go to, though I hate going out in the center of manchester.. everytime some scum bag tries to sell me shit drugs, you know the one's who hang out on the periferies of the smoking area at any club in town I always out of curiosity want to take a look at what they're selling and pretty much always end up telling them their drugs are shit and end up getting in a confrontation, I should learn to keep my mouth closed and just say "no" to anyone who offers me anything.
