I think what's being referred to is women (or men) who just put profiles up for a laugh and toy with other people's feelings. Probably women doing it to men, tbh.

Yeah that's harsh banter. If you add "Dave OG Miles" on facebook (search his cover of Alicia Keys on youtube too (hilarious). But he seems to get trolled on facebook by a new bird every 2 days, none of them are legit obvious to a blind man.

Bound to be heaps of trolls on dating websites. It actually would be quite funny if it wasn't for how shite they're likely making the other person feel.
 
Imagine this 'bird' you've been chatting to was actually a man Mugz. Reckon you should still go meet him if that's in the case, you can't help who you've fallen in love with. ;)

Thanks for the love of the thread effs :) <3 It has become a community supporting mugz's efforts to get together with this beautiful funny sweet girl I met on the interwebz :)

Will have to keep banging away at the texts and emails over the next few days in order to potentially get a meetup scheduled though. I think maybe exchaning facebooks might be a good idea in a day or two.
 
I'm fearing that it may slow down a bit now since the first attempt to suggest a meet hit a wall, I have sent a good morning text today and await a reply, I don't want to be too eager to suggest meeting again, will just take it slow and maybe suggest it again at the weekend and encourage her to bring a friend too to feel more comfortable or something like that, although I would rather spend time just me and her.
 
In all honesty I don't think she would be more comfortable meeting you with a friend incase you are a potential axe murdering psychopath, I don't think that is the reason at all. I think she probably just wants to get to know you a bit better before meeting up in person, it can be a daunting task. Just carry on texting, crack some jokes and make her feel comfortable. If/once she feels comfortable enough she will be much more up for a meet in my opinion. Build up a bit of common ground, learn a bit more about each other. If it all works out when you finally do meet you will have a lot more knowledge about her to keep conversation flowing and have a better time as a result.
 
I reckon leave the fb swap til you've met in person. People's pages can give a very false impression of them for better or for worse....

I agree. There could be unflattering pictures (on both sides). Also, you'll probably have a mutual friend or two, and that will spoil the magic of it all, I reckon. Add her after you've met - keep some mystery about her. Nice one on trying for a threesome, at this early stage. ;)
 
I really want to take this girl out, I've got a cool idea for a good first date, kayaking along the river cam, you can hire kayaks for the day and just paddle up the river and back, stopping off to get something to eat, having a fun time. I'll keep banging away at the friendly nice texts but soon I'm gonna mention a date again and say I've got a good date idea in mind.
