I am comfortable with myself, I just hate the "bar and club scene" and I don't really want to go and meet people there that are stupid fucking twats. Online dating is a good idea as at least you know a bit about someone before you contact them as opposed to some fat lager lout coming up to a hot blonde chick and asking her out.

I knew you'd chime in somewhere though.

I am going to just be myself but be a bit quiet on the drugs front until the right time presents itself, that is if I ever do end up getting a date from this online shizzle.
 
You've just joined the website, yet to have a date from it, and your claiming online dating is a good idea. Slow down Mugz and see how it pans out first eh. :D

I couldn't agree more about Bars N Nightclubs awful places to try and meet a future partner.

Has anyone actually met their partner at a Nightclub ?
 
I met my (ex)gf in a nightclub, we have been on and off for 17 years. Seems off now though. So no, don't do it!
 
What type of club your standard Meat Market or a Rave / House / Techno type thing.

I managed to get the balls to ask out a Girl that i went on to have a proper rel;ationship with at Goldiggers Nightclub but that was only cos it was a Crazy xtc fuelled night that we all went to every friday until it was shutdown .
In my eyes that's not like a standard Nightclub with Booze i can't and won't go to those type of places to much testosterone & dodgy hair extensions.

Not a "standard" club at all, no. A university student union "nightclub". Not a meat market at all, I just chose to do my shopping there! Did I just write that? :|
 
I never go to clubs in this country any more, they piss me off. Can quite enjoy them when abroad though, bit of a novelty I guess.
 
I've had quite good experiences with online dating for the last couple of years, it's great to get to know each other a bit before you decide to meet irl. Convenient if you are desperate for a one night stand- type of shag, or for more lasting relationships. I met a guy online once and we were together for 3 years, until he moved to another city. But then I'm gay, maybe it's easier than "straight" online dating.. (Oops, I just outed myself here on BL 8o ) haha

Just be yourself when writing messages to this girl, it is usually the best thing to be honest about (most) things, but as others have said, don't bring up the drugs too early. And don't spend too much time messaging before you meet, a week or two usually does the trick. If you don't fancy each other, just find another girl online ;) ... Or have conversations with several at the same time, so if you meet one and it doesn't turn out well, you have a couple waiting for you =D Good luck, man!
 
Don't send pictures of your nob. I've a friend on a dating website who just gets sent dick pictures all the time. She's not impressed.
 
I agree with putting that you do take drugs, or leaving it blank. I've never had a girlfriend that doesn't use drugs, and I can't imagine being with one that doesn't. Perhaps, someone that just really tolerates it might be alright, but, you probably won't share any amazing sessions on MDMA, etc. feeling closer than ever. Just be honest, and don't waste a load of time getting to know/like someone, if you're just going to get called a liar, and lose any chance you had. Perhaps start mild, and ask if they smoke weed, or anything. Going straight to asking if they want to share a bag of brown might not be the best idea.

Most are pretty screwed up in the noggin'. I used to have a POF account and used it soley for smash and dash. Worked out well.
 
I got another reply from the girl I'm messaging, she's a little bit crazy, seems really funny though, gonna send another reply back now, not sure when to bring up the idea of meeting though, maybe if she replies again then I'll suggest it.
 
Which site are you using Mugz ? I might try again. A feller i know @ work has had some luck with The Guardian personals. I might try that. Have you tried speed dating ? I gave that a go one night. If nothing else it was a reality check for me. I had previously been under the impression that nearly every girl in the world fancied me lol (I was a looker back in my day but that seems to have faded or something now) - i got no ticks. Despite that i found it a confidence boost as it was an achievment for me to meet 10 new people and have pleasant conversations with most of them, as 8/10 of them were very pleasant people.
 
I'm just using POF, it's pretty good considering that it is free. Never tried speed dating, don't know if I could handle the pressure, lol, I would expect to get no ticks to be honest so I don't think I'll be going to any speed dating sessions.
