I think we've discussed this quite thoroughly previously in the thread. Bottom line its bullshit.
 
I don't think the ceiling dose of codeine is bullshit, all the celing dose is is the maximum dose that the body converts a portion of codeine to morphine. There is atleast one other metabolite of codeine (codeine-6-glucuronide) that is thought to contribute to codeines analgesia and opiate effects. I personally find that dosing more than 600mg is a less sedating high, my belief is this is due to my body still only converting about 40-60mg of morphine (generally considered a relatively sedating opiate,) but creating a larger amount of codeine-6-glucuronide. Because of this I can get an increased effect from dosing above the ceiling dose, but the buzz is more energetic and less preferable to me.
 
Y'know why you peeps aren't hitting a ceiling dose? Because you lose shit-tonnes of it in the CWE. At least half as far as my experience goes. *shrugs
 
Actually, I prefer to use a giant pillow. Really gets the APAP out.

I've been doing CWE's for 6 years now, and have a lot of recent experience with pure (30mg codeine only) tablets. Anecdotally only (albeit with a lot of opiate experience), I can honestly say that I feel I lose up to half of the codeine available in the extraction.

I'd really love to get some glassware, and a vacuum filtration device to really test out the difference between a simple gravity filtration and a forced one. One day maybe.

you could pull that off using large barrels with a micron filter attached to the end like such.

But you cant squeeze out the remaining codeine from the pill mass using that method:S
 
Ive been taking 30mg codeine pills lately alongside occasional cwe's and either diluting the codeine in an amount of water (and perhaps changing the digestion and absorption time of the drug) or the filtration process of cwe's does seem to quite drastically reduce the return I've been getting. 2 30mg codeines equal about 100mg of your stock standard 12.8mg/200mg generics after filtration. The 30mg pills also kick in much harder and faster. I've started doing a second wash and definitely get more out the second time round, give it a try with your gunk and see if you get anything, we'll know for sure then.

Yeah I don't understand it either. I've done similar, always with some alcohol, as the effects are much more noticable with lower codeine doses, and yet 60mg P-forte seems a lot better than 80-100mg CWE, and also, which I find even stranger. 60mg P-forte is much more noticable than 3x N+ taken with 3x panadeine [taken as tablets - no extraction]

I know what i'm saying doesn't seem to make sense, but it's what I noticed.

Yeah. 3x25mg can work really well. But taking that much with codeine will often give me dry mouth in my sleep which is really bad for teeth, and tongues and gums. So I tried this oral balance gel stuff that you spread over your tongue before bed. It's kept my mouth moist more times than it hasn't. but I remember it's failed at least one, maybe twice. But maybe I was trying to make the stuff last longer and didn't apply enough.

The sedation from the prometh can make it incredibly hard to get out of bed the next morning if you need to be up.

A lot of people seem to rate prometh on here, for me the sedation from it is too heavy and lethargic, ive written off two days on 25 mg of it with 150mg of codeine, a pretty low dose by most peoples standards. I find 50mg of diphenhydramine more euphoric and less heavy when used as a potentiator.

What about mixing codeine with stronger opiates and kind of using the codeine as the potentiator? I used to really enjoy 200mg of cwe'd codeine with .1 - .2 heroin taken nasally (with tolerance), the codeine helped load me up and the combination was a lovely mix of a clean heroin high mixed with the rougher, less refined euphoria of codeine.
 
I rarely use stronger opioids without doing a cdub first, I'll always use 400-600mg of codeine first before using oxy or heroin. I find it makes the high much better, so much so that I think it's a waste to do oxy or smack without it.

I think it depends on what you're after. If you want to go on the nod from codeine then prometh can make that happen when otherwise it wouldnt, maybe with some mandatory bush weed. The synergy is such that although I know prometh is a very sedating anthistamine it doesn't feel like the antihistamine when the codeine is in the system it feels like a very strong opiate.

The next morning can be horrible though, the lethargy of the prometh without the synergising codeine.
 
Interesting, I remember you saying you mixed footsy but I figured it was more to do with affordability rather than preference. No offence intended at all, I used to do it when I was struggling to pay for my habit to maximise the high and avoid wd's. I could only afford .1 a day so would start the day with a cwe, go to work then cwe again when I finished and use my ration of smack. Later when I had a little more money I could blow I would cwe and use .2 and found it was extremely euphoric given the h was decent. I had some of the best nods ever on that combo. Once my income stabilised I stopped bothering with codeine and my use of h skyrocketed until I couldn't afford it anymore and went on methadone.

How do you find poppy tea works as a potentiator comparatively to codeine? Also, sorry this is starting to get off topic but do you find cwe's work better with oxy or h in terms of pleasure, legs, dosage etc..?
 
All good :) It's preference for me (though it is definitely more cost effective too), using codeine beforehand gives my high a feeling that I can never achieve with oxy or smack alone. It's weird, I often don't find smack or oxy that euphoric unless I do this, and if this non euphoric high happens I've never found a way to change that - using more just seems to make me more dozy and lethargic or in a weird almost scattered frame of mind. I use pst interchangeably with codeine as the 'base' before I use stronger opioids; both seem to work equally well, perhaps pst works a bit better now my tolly is a bit higher as it tends to be stronger.

When you stopped using codeine with your heroin is that because you prefer the straight smack high?

I think that codeine works best with heroin, I always thought because they're more similar in both converting to morphine, maybe it's just because I prefer h to oxy though. Definitely extends the legs of h, otherwise I find it wears off so quickly, and all of a sudden too.
 
^^ I think the amount of codeine i've always used probably doesn't make prometh worth it for me, even with a pretty big opiate tolly I've never been able to handle more than 200-250mg of codeine without the side effects being to much for me. Namely the itch, nausea and irritability, I'm pretty sensitive to opiates in general until I get a tolerance - then I can get through more than my fair share provided they aren't codeine, dhc or tramadol. Hydrocodone and up is totally fine but I've had a massive reaction from just 3 60mg codeine pills even though I had a big h tolerance and was using .5 a day at the time. That was at the Boeing factory in Seattle, I had to go the first aid station and see the on-duty medic for anti-histamines, god it was awkward.

I actually can't believe some I you guys are chucking 700mg plus into your cwe's, that seems nuts to me. Not just the dose but also how many pills that is, what 50-60 12.8mg pills at least? Ive never put in more than 20-25, at the moment i put in 7-8 max! I hope you guys filter properly.

Also bobby i enjoy weed but unless its a tiny amount, like one small toke, it clouds and ruins my opiate buzz, i get too introspective and cant just relax and just be. I guess it could work quite well for nausea, either that or make it way worse like getting spun out after having a bong while drunk..
