What did you do to get off your butt today? vs. "Butt's off the floor!"

13 mile bike ride
25 muscle ups, in sets of 1-2 reps just greasing the groove

I will try to run for maybe 25 minutes later tonight, not gonna stress if it doesn't happen.

Monday night run in the rain and FREEZING COLD. I feel like I could do anything after that! Epic. =D

And then a Tuesday night run! Didn't take my asthma medication beforehand so my chest was burning in the cold air, but I MADE IT damnit. :)

Humidity tonight made it hard to breathe. I am an asthma denier. I never carry inhalers like I have been told to.
3.2 mile trail run half of it in the pouring rain but it made it easier to breathe

I love running in the rain, no one else is out and about and the sound is so soothing unlike the normal man-made sounds of construction and cars passing by.

Edit: and the feeling of being soaked to the bone and not giving a fuck, exhaling hot breath against the brisky cold rain while your blood is pumping is exhilarating.

On a side note I started my workout routine again today and plan on changing to a high carb / protein diet for bulking reasons again tomorrow. It feels good to get back into shape, I missed it. But I suppose doing physical labor work 5 days a week keeps me in decent shape regardless, but not compared to a proper lifting / cardio cycle.

11 miles on the bike. Gonna do it again in the morning! :)

Yup.

No good trails around here to run in besides the Irving Nature Park, but there is still cars and people always in and around there. But its a nice 8km trail up and down hill.

So what if there are cars? Is there a bit of shoulder on the side of the road? You should be fine.

Yeah last time I was in SJ about 5 years ago I went there to hike. Nice spot.

SL, when you are trail running you should not have to think about cars.

I joined a group of 14 trail runners for a 5 mile run at a park I have never been to. Good times.

Did my usual shoulder routine -

12 reps of each supersetted: front raise, military press, upright row, bent row, curl

weight: 25 lbs, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 lbs.. so like 480 reps total with minimal breaks

Then I did some cardio and some machines

Last night (15 June)

Flat bench press 3x6
pec deck 3x10
incline 10,8,5 (fail)
cable cross 3x10
decline 6,5,4
dumbbell fly 3x10

Today 16 June

Rack pull 3x5
barbell shrug 8,8,6
dumbbell shrug 3x8
barbell behind the back wrist curl 3x8
forearm dumbbell curl 3x8

First time in the gym consecutive days in a few years. I feel great.

I did a lot of walking, bending, walking, bending, walking, bending, and some light lifting of a dozen boxes twice. ;) Oh, I also played basket ball threw air-balls at the garage for probably a half hour. LOL It was fun. I got better as I went on.

Seriously though, the people who lived in the house before did not clean up after themselves in the yard. Broken glass and bits of metal everywhere. 8) I can't let the dogs roam in that.

short jog through the fields behind my house (there's a bike path that cuts through).

running at night in early summer when the thousands of fireflies are out flitting and flashing their symphony of love is the most at peace i've ever felt. right up there with a scant few deems voyages.
