Found a solid 40-50 subs today in the northern suburbs of SA. For a 45 minute hunt, gotta be happy with that! My first haul. :)

Well done mate, just a word of advice on BL we don't allow photos with more than a handful of shrooms that have been cultivated (I think for legal reasons?) although I'm sure the SA thread on Shroomery is much more suitable. Enjoy your trip(s)

i know what you mean, but i think it is good HR practice to advise people to respect this kinda thing.
not meaning to sound preachy or anything, but you can always start low and redose if it's not to your liking, or come back to it.
i guess i've learned this the hard way once or twice - a rough time on psychedelics is a seriously challenging experience.

terrifying, hellish - not always what you're looking for when you decide to push the envelope, or when you misjudge your dose.
it's pretty easy to do man, and it can be fucking horrible. honestly, it's something i encourage people to avoid - anything else is dicksizing IMO.
by that i mean 'too much' as opposed to 'a lot' - there is a difference and it's worth making sure you're on the right side of that line.
especially if we're talking psilocybe mushrooms combined with ketamine.
i've seen people really flip out, and it's tough going for all concerned. mushrooms deserve respect!

This is really good advice, especially the part in bold.

I've had mushroom trips that rival high dose ayahuasca experiences in their intensity and ability to put me into a complete trance, where basically anything can unfold in my mind.

If you find yourself in such a state in the wrong environment, you won't be having a good time, due to outside intervention, and then the subsequent communication with others.

Any WA people been lucky enough to find shrooms? Going to go out soon, know a few spots from last year that i'll hit up again.

Hey everyone, I believe I found an amanita muscaria yesterday, and I'm just wondering what I should do with it in terms of storage. I realise there is a lot of prep work before consuming this mushroom, and I know I won't be able to consume it for at least a few weeks, so I'm wondering if I should just dry it to store it, and if it will keep that way?

In terms of the first time you try them is that generally your best experience? I was given a big handful of fresh mushies for my first trip and living in the country sitting in the field looking at the trees was amazing, so many illuminous colours, really felt like i was back at Ko Phangan rocking it bringing in the new years. But since then the 5 times ive tried hasnt compared in any aspect; am always just left with a real heavy body load and find myself confined to the couch with minor flicking colours, stomach in knots, nothing good almost annoying. I have been avoiding nangs because i felt I would be sick if I had a few even though I've herd they are very good potentiators. Can someone shed some light on this? Perhaps a dosage issue or quality of the actual mushy? Living in the country with the weather the way it is im expecting a good harvest but am definetly put off for now.

not as of yet. found many species that are non active but no active ones yet.

Can I ask - when it comes to amanita, do people here generally smoke the peel or ingest? I have read about both methods but keen to hear some opinions before I decide. I guess I would like to do the least hardcore way for my first time!

Also, once it's dried can it be stored like subs i.e. in a jar with some dessicant?

Appreciate the tips :)

Hm couldn't help you dude.
Aminita's are nasty. Every time i see somebody give it a whirl they end up dying on the floor.
Have fun.

I dried them out and gobbled them once ... I was in my room stuck in this triangle of movement! walking from my door to the t.v to my bed for about 2 hours straight. Just walking in this triangle shape like a zombie.

Did I have any revelations? ... Yeah Aminitas put you in a delirium and it sucks. You don't remember much also there's many black patches from that night. Subs offer SO much more joy and insight but hey this is why maybe 1% of mushroom eaters actually enjoy Amanitas.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berserker Vikings used to eat them because they apparently dull your fear. I remember I was an emotionless zombie when I took them.

I remember reading ages ago the Vikings would consume A. Muscaria before going into battle, I can't help but wonder how much "friendly fire" (so to speak) occurred as a result of this. I can't imagine it was that uncommon.

Season is definitely on, it's been on for a few weeks now. First haul I heard of was 3 and a half weeks back. Get out there and have a look! :)

Hi everyone im new to this, but i have spent some weeks researching and hunting with no sucsess. Im from western sydney and i have searched 2 cow pastures after it has rained. Should i return to the same spot or try and find new spots?
