The "American" parts of BL

So the UK has an uncodified constition of rights. Maybe we have the right to not have a written constitution that could be vulnerable to exploitation.

Like how so many Americans proudly boast the 'right' to bear arms. That shouldn't be a universal right, that should be a privilege for those who seek it if they need it.

Good healthcare for all should be a 'right'. But in America it's a privilege.

Da fuq?

I would love to visit europe I just dont see how you guys live with the ever growing government bearing down on you day after day. I think America is even getting bad with this; look at Bloomberg in NYC wanting to ban all sodas over 16 ounces. While I agree fatness is getting out of hand why would he think he has a right to control what people put in their stomachs. Further more his ideological side believes it is not the governments business to regulate sex selection abortions yet its okay to make people drink less sugar??

When McDonald's ditched the Super Size portions shortly after Morgan Spurlock's movie was released (and had the cheek to deny it had anything to do with that movie) I was quite annoyed at this. Even though I eat McDonald's once or twice a year at most I should still have the right to massive portions if I want to. Just because of a few fat cunts we all lose out on our giant servings. That's messed up.

i never understood the saying "As American as apple pie"

Apple pie is an english dessert

wtf

I wonder how common meat pies are in the States. America know how to do a proper sweet pie but over here we do some disgusting things. I love a steak pie but who in the fuck thought it would be a good idea to put kidney in a pie? Yuck. Animal offal should not go in pies.

My mate's Mum is a volunteer for a local soup kitchen and we went there for our dinner tonight. The main course was mince pie and gravy with potatoes, peas and broad beans. It was lovely. the mince round was perfect.

It seems to me that anything that is 'American' is just something stolen from Europe and made with their shitty ingredients at a far lower quality - hamburgers, hot dogs, pies, pizzas etc. Anything that is actually American that's good seems to have been stolen from blacks - kfc, jazz, rap etc.

Banning huge soft drinks in America is unjustified because they don't have socialised medicine, so if you fuck yourself over it comes out of your own pocket. Here I think they need to slap a nice big tax on unhealthy food so the porkers pay through the snout for the burden they are placing on the NHS. I know quite a few nurses and ambulance drivers over the age of 30 and they all have pretty bad backs because of the 20st+ beached whales they have to move about.

Isn't that just a pie with just a crust on the top? I mean this non-offensively but all the Mexican food I have tried in the UK is awful. Is there Mexican food that doesn't give you the runs?

Mexican food can be of very poor quality as is the case in the UK, and even the states in most cases. However if done correctly can be delightful. I think its just the case of us Whiteys not being able to handle flavour or spice, some of us might be able to eat it but our bodies don't cope with it.

We've got Shepherds Pie, but it's mostly older people that eat that?

Mexican food is awesome here. But I would be just as suspicious to try it in a different region of the US as in the UK.
