Drug slang you hate

Crack for meth is cringe worthy. In fact most speed related slang is confusing and annoying.

Just people generally lack of knowledge when it comes to a lot of drugs is a pet hate. I tested a mates stash at a festival once, showed him his pills came back as "amphetamine like substance" rather than MDMA, and told him that he has probably some sort of RC. He was still happy to knock them back like lollies and just called them the "speedy eccies". The drug snob in me just smiled and nodded. Some people (hell, most people unfortunately) will neck anything for a high.

"Rolling" is horrible but so are most terms to describe taking MDMA.

Tripping balls is one I despise. Is this referring to being so high that your testicles are also tripping, or you see balls everywhere? I don't get it.

Most derogatory terms for heroin/opiod addicts I dislike. Smack-head, junky, low-life all seem to go hand in hand at the same time they're happily taking their oxycodone, morphine or codeine pain killers.

I hate people that see a needle and freak, It's somehow worse than If they had a large machete (not that I use needles but have personally seen people freak when one is whipped out for use!)

(not quite slang, but I'm sure you guys can come up with something to relate. As opi8 said, junky, smack head, druggie, etc)

I never got into saying 'gas' when a few of my mates wouldn't shut up using the term. I guess it refers to you having like gas in you to go faster or some crap? Dunno why but we called it Wizz for a while when we were younger. That seems pretty silly now to me too.

Im "rolling" hard or "rolling balls".....more American slang creeping in.

Drug ABUSER really gripes my gizzard! Drug taker, drug user, drug purveyor if you want to get highbrow. Abuse infers negligent or ignorant consumption. The term itself and those who use it deserve abuse.

I disagree hippy.
I think you can use a drug, responsibly and respectful of the consequences, and you can abuse a drug, irresponsibly, ignorantly and provoking more negative consequences through neglecting the possible consequences.
For example the difference between dropping a tab at home with your lover once a month compared to eating a sheet of acid a day for a month whilst trying to give speeches at funerals.
Abusing a drug is usually out of ignorance, stupidity, or a difference of priorities/cares.
You can abuse anything, and when you abuse anything it will abuse you back. It's like saying fat people use food the same way a personal trainer does, for example.
I think there's a difference between using and abusing drugs that has to be made clear.

I think The calling meth crack thing was supposed to be a joke at the begining, you know like taking the piss out of real crack(cocaine)heads
we Australians see on TV and movies and just playing that but it ended up going gangbusters.

Then again if there are people confusing the two drugs they should be gassed with all the other jews that called meth crack.

I hate the term Charlie, people use it for both meth and coke in vic.

8 Ball, I find a strange term, because it's much more an American term, and I always forget how much is in an 8 ball. I think it's 3.5 grams but really I'm not sure, nor do I know why it's called an 8 ball in the first place.

I think we can all agree that our good friend Molly is the best slang, it's rolls off the tongue so well.

Ur correct an eightball is 3.5g which is 1/8th of an oz (28g). Shit term still, I find it very annoying when people are using all these american measuring systems like ounce, foot, stone, pounds etc.

Agree. Suggesting we vapourise some methamphetamine in my white aussie girl voice - boring. Saying "Let's go smoke some crack, Cracker!" in an Eddie Murphy voice is much punchier.

I hate it when the young blokes I sometimes work with and see at the local say they were up smoking crack all night.

By crack I know they mean methylamphetamine. It is really sad people don't know what drugs they are using. Ah sorry I mean taking, ah sorry consuming.

I also hate the term 'smacky pills'. I also find it so sad that people who were dropping pills in the late 80's honestly believe their pills contained heroin and that's why they felt 'smacky'.

I also hate the term 'pinging' for being off your head.

And I hate the term 'H' for heroin. For me it sounds like you are being evasive and not wanting to say what you have really been up to.

I also remember being really stoned and being told you are 'greening out'. Come on.

Most drug terms / slang sound unintelligent and worse than the real thing.

I'm currently candy flippin', whilst pinging off my head while greening out on kuta gear, gotta get back to my crack pipe smoking Afgani H kickin' back with my bros who are sucking on gas while drinking piss whilst coming down off ice after being up all night smoking shards.

I realise this is the australian forum but I just had to mention that when you try to buy clean needles on the street in the tenderloin area of san francisco they are invariably referred to as 'outfits'. never heard this anywhere else and took me the longest time to figure out what the hell i was being offered. was it clothing? pills? untaxed cigarettes? confused the hell out of me until i finally pressed one of the street dealers into showing me wtf he was talking about... then said "ohhhhh, okay" and walked off without buying any, probably confused the hell out of him but he deserved it for doing the same to me. none of them would use any other term, if they had said spike or rig or point i would have known but it just bothered me that thats the only word they would use.

These measurements are called imperial measurements and are British. Charlie is also British slang for cocaine, crack I believe is named after the sound cooked cocaine makes when you smoke it and is american
