Hallucinogen with no mind f**k

Completely agree with you. although my friends and I took benadryl and magnesium pills to combat nausea and body load which greatly helped.

but IMO i think what im looking for is shrooms after much research and questioning. all of my friends report much laughter that is often uncontrollable and they many reports ive read and answers i have recieved have stated that the trip makes the user feels that the world is anew, alive, and beautiful and they feel the need to explore it. many also feel close to others often sharing the same feelings. If the previous statement is true then i would most definitely love it. That is one of my favorite effects of MDMA and i hope mushies have it as well. Unfortunately for me i have absolutely no idea how to obtain these.. none of my dealers dabble with shrooms.. prob cuz they are all more into the harder drugs i.e. heroin, crack. Thats trenton for ya :/

There are times while on shrooms where i actually feel like i am rolling, just a general swelling of feel good emotions. However I can say that this can happen for any type of emotion while on shrooms. With an LSD trip I am far less emotional which i consider a good thing.

True, just seemed like a very odd statement.

LSD certainly has far more clarity than mushrooms have, but it definitely has some of the mind fuckery involved in it for me.

Ergotamine, Lysergamine I both knew about, amphetamine (and by inheritance phenethylamine) structure being in the molecule though... I had not noticed or read that yet. I must go back and find it in the structure now!

Thanks for bringing that part up.

does anyone here have experience with both 5-MeO-DMT and 2C-E. i was curious how the body load of a decent hit of 2C-E would compare to the body load of a medium to large dose of 5-MeO-DMT

2C-B and aMT have been the substances I've tried with the least mindfuck. 2C-E too usually puts me in an analytical headspace rather than the cloudy headspace certain psychedelics provide but it's hit or miss and sometimes I get mindfuck too. 2C-P I've only sampled once and it felt rather clear-headed too.

Well i havent tried 5-MeO-DMT yet (although that is the top on my list if not second) but i can say for sure no matter who i ask or who has told me, everybody seems to hateeee the body load of 2C-E as the following thread's OP states for his experience. Pretty sure you could find PLENTY more accounts of this as well.

I went on a hunt to combat body loads and heard from a friend that magnesium helps. Gave it a try and about 300-600mgs COMPLETELY diminished the load from 2C-E and all other substances with the load.

25I-NBOME actually has no mind fuck for me, and I was very surprised at that. It still has the 2C body load I've come to expect, and the visuals aren't as intense as acid/shrooms/2C-E/2C-T-2 but definitely has more visuals than 2C-I.

I'll completely forget I'm tripping if it weren't for the visuals randomly occurring while I'm playing a game (like Diablo III :D) or the background body load.

Irritates me because I wanted acid and all I can find right now is 25I :/

I take this back. Apparently in my caution of taking low doses and building up, I stopped at a still relatively low does of 25I.

25I is definitely capable of getting me a similar fractally mindfuck like 2C-E gives me. Would go into more details, but still fractaled and will save the tripper ramblings for another time.

Yes, please do - it's really quite in-appropriate.

Everyone just needs to sober-up around here.
Lay off the drugs - OK?

Haven't you heard of brain-bubbles??! My friend had one and almost cried - Twice - And this was at night, as-well, which didn't help...

I'll sober up when I'm dead.

Anyway, on topic, I thought 2c-i didn't have any mind fuck, but a couple high dose trips later completely changed my opinion on it. Psychedelic mental effects really start to come out in the 30-100mg range for me... whew. I'm not suggesting anyone else do extreme doses of it, though.

Did you forget what forum you're logged in to?

Also, if you're referring to an air embolism... tell your friend to quit injecting air into his blood vessels. If you're talking about some other condition, feel free to enlighten us on these horrific "brain bubbles".

Post trip report on the 25i at a dose capable of giving a mind fuck, it's also significantly raised my blood pressure and heart rate and I needed to take a sedative to keep it in a safe range.

So while I suppose with that in mind, a "safe" if you could call it that, dose of 25i doesn't seem to have a mind fuck for me. However due to negative effects on cardiovascular system if too much is taken, it does make me really nervous using it.

take shrooms with xanax, and you get glorious visuals with little to no mental confusion and fear/anxiety, or "mind fuck".

dude, you don't go around telling people to lay off the drugs as if you carry some authority over them on a forum ABOUT DRUGS. If we sobered up, this forum would be completely empty. If you have a problem with people using drugs, then don't post in BL.

Also a brain bubble is not an actual condition as far as i know, unless it is, in which, please feel free to enlighten us here at bluelight.

These are either material floating on the cornea or artifacts of visual processing. I'm intrigued enough to ask about brain waves, but I'm thinking that you're just trolling.

It seems that not many of us here know what brain bubbles are as well as what you are referring to as brain waves.
It seems both phrases have more than one meaning in totally different subject areas.

Please elaborate as I have searched quite a bit and found nothing on what you are speaking of and cannot find any information. Since offtopic ill get back on track and answer the originally posted question asked by me.

Excuse me for this extremely longgg amphetamine fueled post that is seemingly never ending LOL but i seem to have answered MY OWN question in the original post that started this thread. The subject title and question should have been "hallucinogen that most pleases the mind with little paranoia" with that said lets begin..

I have a theory that psychedelics which are serotonergic will produce effects that are the base for a euphoric and enjoyable trip. This will not be Actually tested in a lab but rather experiences, documented effects, and personal experiences will be taken into consideration to find the Most euphoric and mentally enjoyable trip. The trip should be one that is suitable for new inexperienced users and those more prone to mental illness. This was all done for a school research and awarness assignment. It is not yet finished but i decided id like to share it with bluelight as this sites's main goal is Harm Reduction and it answers my orignal post's question.

Back on topic with the beginning... After researching many classes of drugs, their effects, what they act on, and what the chemicals associated with the drug will do to the user, i have come up with the following to answer MY OWN question as this subject has grown on me...

Research on the following substances: how they work on the brain, effects experienced by the user, opinons of others from experience and my own experiences after the OP, as well as many articles taken from erowid.org and other well known sites.

DMT & its analouges: They are thought to be the most potent hallucinogens with the most intense visuals and effects by many. To most it is too potent visual wise and too sudden for a mindfuck-less trip. The sudden onset leaves no time to get the feel of the "new reality." During most trips users are almost unable to move. This is likely to cause anxiety. A number of experienced users are left in shock and awe after their first use and even with further uses with medium to high doses. This can be seen in the TIHKAL entry on 5-MeO-DMT. Conclusion: Too intense unless experienced with effects of this substance. Other strong minded people can bear this drug. Not enjoyable unless in moderation IMO

Psilocybin (shrooms) : This is my favored choice after research of all candidates. Mushrooms containing this chemical seem to produce feelings of wonder, joy, and excitement. It is said to produce ego softening in most users thus reducing risk of paranoia or a dangerous mental state. Some feel emotional effects similar to MDMA . The visuals have been described as some to be happy thoughts or visuals from past experiences. A new thought pattern may help give better insight and new solutions to ongoing issues in life. Some terminally ill patients are rarely given psilocybin as a way of couping with the stress from the thoughts they have as the end of their life nears. <---(done in research tests with high success rate) The other effects that users find most pleasurably is the giggling/laughing, sympathy for others, as well as feeling connected with friends/people around them. Many find the feelings of being in tune with the world to be very euphoric. There is a lower amount of users that report bad trips on psilocybin mushrooms. Conclusion: Favored choice. Outcome of ego softening and pleasurable experience more likely than not. Clear mind is noted in many thus reducing confusion leading to paranoia.

LSD: In my research and experience LSD produces visuals of patterns on objects, geometric shapes, and colors to change constantly. Past life experiences are generally relived as deep stored memory becomes accessible. Some positive past experiences and others are negative. Depending on the memory it can go either way. Some experience and report loss of visual contact with reality as things linking you to reality fade away. This leads to some being placed in a paranoid state of mind taking away from enjoying the trip. Conclusion: IMO 70/30% chance of pleasurable time. With pleasurable trip being the 70%. The ability to access deep rooted memory allows negative experiences from the past the become present thus producing a paranoid, saddened, or regretful state. Would not recommend to those with rough life or those with frequent depressing or troublesome thoughts.

Mescaline: This substance can produce effects similar to that of psilocybin mushroom such as uncontrollable laughter, and mild to extreme nausea. The stomach discomfort tends to subside as the peak hits. Users often report little anxiety during the rise in their trip but as the peak sets in there seems to be a feeling of experiencing the world anew. Most "explore" the "new" world and find it to be exciting and euphoric. Some other effects shared with psilocybin are present such as feeling connected to the world and people around you. This poses a happy and enjoyable state quite similar to the feelings of MDMA as reported by some. Friends of mine experience this feeling as quite common and present in most of their trips. Conclusion: Emotional feelings and mental state are very similar, if not identical, to psilocybin mushrooms. Feelings of wonder and the urge to explore the newly fascinatingly percieved world combined with the previously stated effects are all grounds for a positive and euphoric experience. 2nd Choice IMO

Dissociatives: Reason for this being generalized is that most drugs in this class have many of the same effects. Depersonlization is when the user feels as if they are not real. Often they forget their name and sometimes even what human is. This is often described as a near death experience or even feel like you are dead. With this taking place the user can be thrown into a paranoid state which can be one of the worse types. Another effect is feeling disconnected from the world and the mind often seems blank and empty. This makes the feeling of being dead even more present and strong only fortifying the paranoia. This class of drug is not as common as the effects of becoming disconnected from the world is not sought after by many. Although some people who try to escape reality and the stresses of it seek this effects making for an enjoyable experience. Conclusion: not recommended to weakminded individuals or those with mental illnesses present in immediate family or symptoms being present in user. Most likely class to cause paranoia and confusion.

2C-x Family: I have stayed away from this family as some members are highly researched and others not so much. Each member varies greatly. Some with visuals and other just stimulation. No further information.

Overall conclusion: With these substances researched i have found in my opinion the reasons as to why some are more dangerous than others to those prone to mental illness or breakdown as well as psychotic episodes.

IMO Psilocybin has the most enjoyable effects as well as less risk of mental breakdown or harm. This is due to the sense of well being and lighthearted effects it has on the emotionals and thoughts of the user. This tends to be the most sociable out of the researched above because of the feelings of connectedness to others.

Mescaline comes in at second solely due to the fact that it is most simliar to psiolocybin in effects.

LSD in third with IMO with 70/30% chance of an enjoyable trip.

Dissociatives in fourth as most users do not like the empty feeling or feeling of not existing.

DMT in last as it tends to be the most intense. So much so that the user cannot stabilize the racing thoughts, feelings, and visuals produced. ayahuasca with dmt as the main chemical is said to almost every time produce a trip for the user that is painful to bear as thoughts that are uncomfortable are brought to light.

Since this was done as an assignment to show the danger of psychedelics in the mental aspect for school i decided to share it with Bluelight as it is a site of harm reduction. Plus i answered my own long thought of question :)

I dont want to open another topic so i'll just put it here.

My grandpa on my mother's side was bipolar, my grandmother on my dad's side also had an (undetermined) mental illness and my father's brother (so my uncle) is schizophrenic and had delusions. My parent's lives weren't easy because of this but they're great, happy people. I was pretty depressed for 2 years cause I had problems sleeping. In decembre I took some truffles (similar to shrooms, contains psilocybin). I had a difficult experience cause the setting wasnt right. I just wanted to go home so bad. The day after that I felt so happy with my life because I finally realized that my life is actually very great if you look at the big picture. i'm doing a lot better since then (with downs ofcourse, but who doesnt). Now I was kinda wondering, the mental problems in my family, is there any way of saying how greatly they increase the chance of me also having mental problems? With other words, is there any way of saying its okay for me to do psychs? I've done truffles twice and reallyyy liked it but in the back of my head i'm still kinda worried about this.
Thanks :)

Im sure if you used the search option for this subject you might find it. Probably something like mental illness and psychedelics. But just in case you are a bit lazy ;) heres MY answer and opinion.
To answer your concerns laurenslv id say that there is no sure way of ensuring that mental illness won't be harmed or worsened by the use of psychs.. or of any drug for that matter. The only way to ensure safe mental effects is to have a drug administered by a doctor who is monitoring your symptoms and reactions while placing you under the right circumstances.

Although i can say this My mother is bipolar and my father has SEVERE anger. Also my great aunt has schizophrenia. There is history of depression on my fathers side as well. I was not showing symptoms of any mental illness until the summer i began to party almost everyday. I tripped weekly and took MDMA 2-3 times monthly. During that summer i began to experience severe depression, crazy mood swings, and ridiculous anger. After entering a rehabilitation center i was diagnosed with bipolar disorder II, general anxiety disorder, and what is thought to be mild psychosis.

None of this was present before i had used psychs and MDMA... oh and lots of weed ;)
The rehab doctors as well as other doctors said the depression is due to MDMA use lowering serotonin. The mood swings were part of bipolar disorder and is said to have been brought on by the excessive drug use. It can't all be blamed on psychs though. There was lots of heroin and others.

There are many many articles stating that the use of psychs are very likely to bring out underlying mental illness. If you read enough threads about this subject or subjects similar, you will see that most believe them to react negatively with mental illnesses or those with emotional problems. Many psychonauts advise not to trip if youve had stress recently or have been emotionally distressed within recent time.

Thanks a lot for your answer, really helpful. I used to smoke weed every day but in the end I didn't like it anymore cause I got headaches, anxiousness and extreme paranoia. Its been 3 months since i've smoked. I'll prolly give it another shot in summer to see if I can make it like it used to be. Anyways, 16th of may I took a lot of mdma on my birthday (terrible mistake) and I was getting panic attacks and extreme mood swings also until 5 days ago. It was so bad I decided to lay off MDMA for a while. The week(s) after is just so bad for me.

I'm just going to take the risk and try LSD when i'm feeling good and when im with my close friends. If I don't like it or get anxious, so shall it be but I'm so looking forward to doing it :D
Thanks a lot for your post, fiend!

personally i get little to no mind fuck off dissociative anesthetics (nmda antagonists) in terms of anxiety/other negative feelings but they are far from clear headed.

XTC_fiend you said dissociatives are most likely to cause paranoia and confusion. i completely dissagree, i think they are the only psychedelics that have anxiolytic effects other than empathogens. i was always able to go into a k, pcp, or dxm experience and have a good experience regardless of set and setting, whereas if i took acid when i was in in a bad mood or a bad setting i'd have have a bad trips. hell, i'd take a boatload of dxm when i had to go to the ER to make time pass quicker, which has to be the worst setting. then again i am probably predisposed to these drugs as i was a k and dxm head for years, 1000+ dissociative experiences. pcp i think has more potential for bad trips than those two due to it's stimulating nature.
