The One And Only EADD Appreciation Thread

Have mixed feelings towards dodgems meself, Marmz. Have only really been in 'em with an Alpha Male-type who insists on driving which means being twatted into folks who really don't seem to enjoy it mostly. Minor whiplash and mild-moderate irritation abounds. Have driven once or twice... but those "No Bumping" signs they put up somehow flummox me antiestablishmentarianism gene so I tend to just go round and round in circles trying to avoid folk. Shithouse all round really :\

In other ridey news, I have a mortal fear of Waltzers. Got spun a tad too viciously as a nipper and have never forgiven the cunt :!

My housemate came over to study from Kenya, (he didn't really 'click' with the Southerners in the house), but we ended up being bros so fast; he got deported ad I do not think he is coming back, which sucks a fucking cock. Shit tonne of illegals roaming around doing all sorts of shit, and they spend every working hour trying to get him out the country. Where he came from in Kenya was more or less the same respect for each other we grew up with it. He'd buy me a crate of beer, not mention a shit, I'd sort him out when I go pick up the next lot. No ifs, buts, complains "oh I did this yesterday". When he was speaking to his unclle after meeting me, he told him the Northerner would be more like himself. He quickly noticed how up their own arse a lot of Southerners are (not all, but a lot im my experience)

Where in the UK are you planning on visiting? *everyone says London, I say it's a shit hole*There is Alton Towers up North; not been in ages but #iI loved it every time, especially AIR. Thorp Park, overpriced piece of shit. Pleasure Island... Lol just no. Flamingo Land was sick the last time I went, but I heard they took down the Magnum Force coaster. ...Oh, and Blackbool, if you want to see how the impoverished African countries are doing better than some English towns haha.

Interesting story and I wanted to visit everywhere. To be honest I want to visit liverpool because a lot of bands I like are from there. Don't ask who its a list of a lot and lol its probably not even interesting but oh well. London never really came to mind as the only place. I also want to visit Bristol.

My plan was to fly out for the summer olympics but things came up and I had/have to use my money for other things (paying rent/food/ect.). Kind of a rough time for me but I will visit the united kingdom one day. Everyone asks me why and they say oh it rains all the time and gas is so expensive but there seems like so much more. It also would be a change of scenery.

And more stabbing? Sounds a lot better than the gun problems we have in the states. I rather have someone try to shank me than try to get away from a bullet.

dodgems should be a mandatory one person per vehicle, non negotiable, unless there's a nipper involved.

the only target is the cocky looking twat (most probably a twink) who's targeting anyone he knows he can 'ave.

the going round in circles bit gets solved by adopting a 'protect the weak' strategy =D

urgh. waltzers. have only been on them once. things that just go 'round' do not work well with me. I got spun [span?] to the point of puke on a little roundabout in my local park by a buncha 'big boys' when I was about 6. so I can't do round and round things anymore

^I love round and round things and especially rollercoasters. It just seems like the uk is more laid back and more about smoking a spliff. A lot of countries in europe seem just about enjoying the easy things in life. To me the states seem crazy at times and so cut throat but of course I probably wouldn't live anywhere else.

I feel your pain on the spinny thing tale, Marmz :|

Big Boys ftl :(

As for dodgems etiquette... it's probably been a while really hence bigger boys doing the driving bit mostly. That and driving summat with the express intention of hitting summat just doesn't quite compute for me. Am a confirmed pedestrian though...

Always quite liked those woozy cinema thingies that showed loops of rollercoaster footage and the like though. Made me sway back and forth a bit with nary a chance of it turning into the climax of a shite 70s disaster movie or owt. Woozy is good. Woozy with mechanical stuff in minor amusement parks that focus more on having a duck pond than a dodgem is less good.

I may go to Alton Towers one day just to enjoy the queues though.

^I don't live that far from hershey park and a new rollercoaster they have opening in the summer is one where you just dangle. Like a thing just holds your upper body and then there is no floor or anything. I would love to see you guys go on that :P

Haven't such things been round for yonks? Those danglycoaster style o' things? I presume this one will be extra doubledogdare danglesome though. Meh. I can dangle at will and don't have to pay, queue or prove my height for the priveliege.

I haven't had to prove my height. However I am 5' 7 so I don't think I seem to be too short for any rides.

I think it was PTCH who said the rest of Bluelight is all about pre-loading before a 'roll', and lightshows. C'mon, we all know that talk is gay, especially seeing as most of the time your 'molly' is methylone. I find EADD much more friendly and funny, but I guess it's because people have a similar sense of humour.

:D

Brits are the best. You should stick around!

xstayfadedx, danglycoasters have been around here for ages :D

No I kind of agree.. Like the same old stuff gets boring. I mean don't get me wrong I like some things in the other socials but I still tend to yawn at times.

@effie: glad to see you happier than before :) hope all is going well for you. And yeah I've never been on a dangly coaster but this goes like 70mph and has crazy twists and turns. I'm excited to go on it this summer. Actually it will be open by the end of the month so ill be going asap =D and ill stick around if I can be an adopted europeaner.

^ I <3 rollercoasters so much, not been on one in ages.. went on one of our best danglycoasters (I'm keeping that name) on ketamine once :D

I am better than I was, thank you <3 :) we might adopt you, depends... ;)

I've been to amusement parks on drugs it was the best experiences ever except the trying to swim at the waterpark thing... Hahah and that is good to hear <3 now I'm not sure if this is an amusement park appreciation thread or an eadd one. And okay I guess I can live with a maybe :P

EADD is better, as , as has been proven, we are old folk in here....who, despite what young'uns think, are better.

Old, crinkly, dangly in all the right places, smelling slightly of wee: tis how real wo/men are <3

Have never done the theme park thang on droogies. Never been to one since around the time me balls dropped for that matter. Suspect I'd maybe enjoy it more whilst ketted to nadsack really. Despite only ever being on a frankly so pussy even pussies would sneer at it kinda rollercoaster, I did find it rather whizzbang. Again, I feel drugs are the missing link... Drugs and dangling.

I'm going to diggerland next week, get to drive jcb's, and these badboys, now THIS is what a theme park is all about

Drugs and dangling.

Yep, tis a winning combination!

Also i think that might be my quote of the day :) <3

xstayfadedx I've decided that we will officially adopt you as an EADDer. Woo! :D

I can confidently proclaim to be at least one (well... two... actually three) up on ya in the dangling stakes if not the drugstakes, Ms Eff. Knew they'd come in handy one day %)

And yeah, I think xyanknameX has passed muster as an EADDer lost overseas. Officially adopted, I'd second. Just so long as he can swear properly. Two nations seperated by a common language? Nup. Two nations seperated by the fact the bigger one can't swear for shit. Swears are both big and clever. And essential to the whole being European experience.

It just so happens that the forum full of people from the same culture that you were brought up in happens to also be the best one? What a lucky coincidence! ;)
